@atoponce Thank you for sharing these details. Your findings aligned with mine. Raw data is not the problem which is a relief. What was changed in the latest firmware I guess is the way Suunto app and watch interpret the power data. When I use a 3rd party tool to analyse power data from Suunto’s Fit files, the average numbers tallied with Stryd’s and not the Suunto App’s and the watch’s.

@aquanaut I am used to Suunto dive watches like mosquito or D4i but I don’t know how the Ocean software is working. Nevertheless when you wear a D4 or D6 for casual days and you swim, it is uncommon to trigger a scuba dive even if automatic detection is selected. And if you want to free dive in a swimming pool or is open waters it is recommended to select the free dive mode to avoid triggering scuba and all the safety related to. And for a dive computer, safety is key. I am interested to get a Ocean in the future and I hope there is a feature that allows to deactivate scuba diving mode when you are just swimming, free diving.

@Egika I am looking for a way specifically how to run a 3rd party app outside a activity, it feels silly to open an activity to check your todo-list or other app that might be more connected do casual daily activities.

@Mattg576 Yes, exactly this happened to me. Purchased a replacement belt, as it was a few years old and this had previously been the root cause of the issue, but turned out to be the sensor itself. On closer inspection I did find some moisture inside the old sensor. I now have two newish belts and one new sensor.

Hi! I have an Amazefit Balance watch which does broadcast the HR during a workout or when I activate the HR App on the watch. I am using an Android Phone (Xiaomi 12 Pro / HyperOS 2.0.5.0) and the Sports Tracker App (Version 5.1.7). Strava and Bergfex can connect to the watch via Bluetooth and show the heart rate. I guess this is then using Bluetooth LE (BLE) and the generic heart rate protocol defined in that standard. But the Sport Tracker App can’t connect. The help tells me that it should work with all BT Smart compatible devices. BT Smart is the old name of BLE, so it should work in my opinion. I am using Sport Tracker since years and it would be nice to get also the heart rate into the App to get better calories calculation, now that I have a watch. Using Strava or Bergfex is no real option, because those Apps are not as good as Sport Tracker. BR, Jasmin
