I like posts like this. Vertical maybe have no more updates but its very improved since launch. I got it soon it launched (Solar Ti) Than switched to Race 1 like year ago and it was like completly new device. Dont need such a powerful battery and early morning/evening run was better to read with amoled. Switched to Race 2 when came out. Still remember great design and feeling of Vertical 1, and Race 1. V1 is a great hiking/mountaineering watch. I would say I dont understand why Vertical 2 is almost Race 2 but amoled/few% better battery and buttons instead of crown. But than I also understand we cant be mad on Suunto. Its company, and people demand amoled. Yes, there’s still people prefer stronger battery/mip, but its not worth effort for company. Brutal but true. Its not charity. If my main sport/activity would be hiking, I would definitely stay with Vertical 1.

@ggrego when it happened the watch was still under warranty, yes. But I would send it for repair anyway.

Another crazy drain whilst leaving the watch with hr off in the drawer . 40% drop in 2 days . I sent the logs right now in case anyone finds anything interesting

We all do need the TIDE info. It is a basic function for all sport watches.

I’ve got the Race S on the current software & same issue the other night, I was 1km into a fell race & the watch randomly restarted Raced the next night no issues with the watch Annoying, but at the same time it’s only done it the once in a years worth of use Sent the logs to Suunto & messaged as per the forum guidance, hope it helps for future

@sky-runner Hello yes I know the Strava segments but there the idea is to compare it with an outing already made and to know if you are early or not Garmin has been doing it for a long time you select your activity it offers you to measure yourself against another outing already made and you just have a ghost runner and a time that tells you if you are early or late

Hello, Is there any timeline for the next update. I experience the issue when backlight stays on even when it’s not activated in settings. This drains batterry extremelly fast. I did not find a way to replicate the issue - it happens from time to time. If anything is to be prioritized I suppose this is it Thank you

@Adrian.S here is a way to fix this. Export both activities as fit files. Use a third party to merge the files and export the merged as a GPX exercise. Upload the merged GPX into the sportstracker website. The merged file will be present and if acceptable you can delete the separate original files.

@TyreseJ4 two comments: battery life is not an online hype, but one of the key specs of a sport watch. my S9B Ambassador is slow and the battery not in anyway living up to the one in Vertical 2 I would sell it, if it was not the Ambassador version and thus some kind of collectable…
