My own example has gone from poor weather data (extremely localized, but far away) to pretty darn good with the last android app version; which in my case now uses region data. I live in a small village. About 10 km southeast from this place, as the crow flies, lies an even smaller village which in itself is positioned 5 km south of a small town. That tiny ‘sleeper-village’ (population ca 1000) is where Suunto used to retrieve the weather data from. Since my village lies at 96 metres above sea level, the other village at 35 metres, there is a large lake seperating us and they have a high Horst (raised fault block; block mountain) immediately to their east side, the different microclimates often meant a several degrees centigrade difference. Rain, wind, fog etc also diverged all too often. But now, with the weather data pertaining to “Skåne län” [Scania County], I couldn’t be happier. Comparing the screen of my personal weather station with the Suunto Race S is almost spooky! The temperature, the humidity, the air quality… [I should underline that I have a good temperature/humidity sensor encased in a large homebuilt Gill multiple-plate radiation shield]. @MartinZ and if you think 44 is correct and you desperately want to have the watch show this exact value, then just lower the value of your upper Zone 4/lower Zone 5 until the watch shows you 44, as said before. Then your anaerobic threshold HR is messed up, but that’s how the algorithm works.

@aslysz I have just experienced the exact same problem. I am using a brand new belts so I can’t see that being the problem. I have just bought the suunto belt to replace a wahoo one that was intermittently dropping connection but would reconnect after a few minutes. This seems to be a problem introduced in the last few firmware updates.

Oh no… “You can expect iOS 26.1 to be released in early November. Apple is expected to make the update available on 3 or 4 November 2025.” I won’t be able to connect my watch to the iPhone 17 for that long. I don’t want to install a beta version because I don’t want any more bugs.

It happened to me as well, exactly as described in this thread. After two days where the watch kept freezing, I performed a soft reset (12 seconds upper button) and it turned off, never turning back on again. I left it charging for a long time and waited a couple of days, but nothing changed. In the end, I proceeded with a return and I’m currently waiting for a replacement — really frustrating experience.

Another thing I am missing is an analog watch face in excercise mode. Sometimes I just want to record the track I am doing when walking to know in the end how many kilometers I have done. But while walking just having a „normal“ watch.

@fedequei Sorry, English isn’t my native language: I may not have been clear. That’s exactly right, it’s the swipe up from the control bar at the bottom of the home screen. You’ll see that your watch no longer syncs automatically, so the weather widget may no longer be up to date, and activities no longer sync automatically at the end of the activity, but doing it once a day is enough. My routine has become: I get up in the morning, synchronise the watch for the weather widget and sleep tracking, then manually close the app. Then, if I’ve been running or doing an activity, I synchronise again. Basically, I’ve gone from multiple automatic synchronisations per day to two manual synchronisations. This obviously has an impact on the battery.

@sky-runner Yes, these are the issues I’m having trouble with, too. It’s a track that starts with a descent, continues flat, and then continues with an ascent and descent. Sometimes it shows the ETA at the top. Sometimes it shows an angle value. Still, the information you provided was helpful. Thank you.

@Luis-Andés-Olmedo Me too. I ordered mine from Temu. It was so cheap that I ordered two, one for each of my favorite straps. EDIT: I took a look at Temu and to my surprise all of the 22mm tags have disappeared. There are only two vendors left and they provide 20mm wide tags. There are still many tag vendors in Etsy, but the prices are five times higher compared to what I paid in Temu. [image: 1761279300792-1000020520.jpg]

To all the responders who have had no issues that’s great and I used to be one of you wondering how these other people have so many issues. Well now I’m one of those people with the battery drain issue so just because it hasn’t happened to you doesn’t mean it won’t you have been lucky so far.
