@Brad_Olwin thanks for the tip! that’s really helpful. why endurance? i’m nit living in gps-difficult-condituons. the single band option (endurance) already produces a near perfect track. I’m impressed to be honest. All i want is that the settings stay the same every time i start an activity. nevertheless, i will try try your additional sport mode approach as well as the custom gps mode trick.

@Naiden no… your buttons are stiff? compared to which models buttons?

@GiPFELKiND I am on iOS and it works fine, The watch must not be syncing and have a green check to create custom sport mode. When you open the app it may immediately start syncing so be patient.

@lessthanmore Have you looked at something like this? It’s a tiny dongle the size of the iPod Shuffle of old that can play Spotify and Amazon Music. Their spec says it should last up to 4-5 hours with Bluetooth, though in my experience it never lasted more than 2-3 hours. Still, enough for most long runs, not to mention regular runs. Best of all – it works with any watch that you use

@twekkel exactly for that reason is bad. Sensor data are not structured on the top level entity (tree) such as the xml. They are streams, or lets say messages. For example the limitation that XML has is that the parent entity is a trackpoint and inside that you get the sensor data. So that essentially means that if you dont have a trackpoint then you cannot have sensor data. For example inside a tunnel all points are lost trckpoint HR Speed While on fit files for example we have messages that can contain any info and are just a timestamped payload.
