Unpairing Suunto Vertical from a phone with a broken screen
-
Hello, is there possibility to unpair Suunto Vertical from Suuntoapp on old mobile phone without accessing the phone? My issue is that I bought a Suunto Vertical, paired it with Ulefone Armor 6E, but than fell down while running and destroyed the screen (very limited touch options, almost no way to unlock the phone) of the phone and I can’t access Suuntoapp on it. I bought a new Ulefone Armor 17 Pro phone, installed Suuntoapp there, but I can’t pair the Suunto Vertical with the new phone. I guess I have to first unpair the Suunto Vertical from the old phone. Is there any way to do it without accessing the old phone?
Suunto support only recommended hard reset of the Suunto Vertical, but I don’t want to lose the activities recorded in the Suunto Vertical in the meantime between destroying the old phone and buying the new one. Anyone encountered similar issue? Thanks.

@HonzaVankat Can’t you just go to Vertical: Settings > Connectivity > Paired Devices > Mobile App > Forget…?
Your Vertical shouldn’t erase your data and keep for next pairing.
You could also borrow a friend’s phone or Android tablet before you reset and download SA and pair temporarily before you reset.

Yes, you can unpair it directly from the watch.
Scroll down to Settings-Connectivity-Paired devices- Mobile app and then select Forget.
After that the watch can be paired with your new phone.

@deserthike20 Thank you. At first this was exactly what I did and it didn’t help, unpairing the Suuntoapp only from the watch. However, I was in the end lucky enough to use an OTG reduction to connect a USB mouse to the old mobile phone. With that and a lot of patience I somehow unlocked the screen, launched the Suuntoapp and unpaired the watch. No records lost, job done, relief.
