Do you have an AGPS file in about? Is it current? If you sync immediately prior to exercise and a new AGPS file is loaded, it can take time to unpack. How many times has the route been bad?
@Giuseppe ho giocato un po con Strava… Strava ti lascia fare live tracking, ma putroppo tu hai bisongo cominciare una attivita con strava… dopo loro mandono un sms a scelta tua (per me la molgia) con un link per seguire.
Update…I discovered why!! It doesn’t depend on the WiFi connection, but on the smartphone’s GPS sensor, which I usually keep off. Without GPS sensor, the weather widget is not updated. I thought that in any case the SA would adjust itself at least with the last known position… but it’s fine anyway
@tiago ok so you are saying pace zones are indeed used to classify the workout. That would indeed be the only way for this to have happened, as I have had runs with higher AVG and max HR that were still classified as Aerobic
@josephblcd
Snap to a route has a different meaning. You can refocus the map just by taping on it. If it doesn’t work due to a rainfall then you can hold the middle button to enter the menu where you can navigate the map with the buttons and then again (to exit the menu - it’s a workaround). You can also use the Custom battery mode to disable the touchscreen for a map. So it is possible to do what you mention in the last sentence.
A chance to get a watch from Suunto? how? where do you ask for that?
If I am not mistaken, I had read on the forum that they could ship a replacement watch (by paying a deposit, of course). Try contacting support and ask for confirmation
Thank you. I’ve taken an alternative solution: just ordered a Garmin Epix on Amazon.de at a very good price (450€). When I have my race back I will decide what to do…
Are you pressing buttons to change screens? Or it does this by itself? The camera is moving so I’m not sure. If it’s doing it by itself, you should send your watch to service because I believe that is not intended behavior.
Interestingly, when I use my Race on my spin bike, the display stays always on.
@David-l
I have my Race in DND all the time as I’m not interested in mobile notifications, it improves battery life massively & only takes a quick button press to wake up the watch to see the time (it continues to monitor 24hr HR/HRV).
I’ve found that if I wake up the watch with a button press & start an activity (DND still enabled in the background) the Race tracks the activity, gives HR zones/map etc & everything works perfectly BUT doesn’t vibrate even though its turned on.
I have to disable DND before starting the activity & then it vibrates as it should.
Took me a while to work this out as I’ve just started using the race nutrition app & kept missing the reminders.
