@savvase unless if you intend to spend all your time navigating into menus (and even then), you can serenely go for the Race.
I still don’t get why reviewers point something that is clearly not very perceptible to my mind, as if it was turning the watch useless…
Look at maps reactivity compare to other brands (several videos online) and you will see what a laggy use means !

@savvase Lag has been reduced with the latest update but it wasn’t that bad even before.
There are a bunch of latest gen phone users who expect the same responsiveness in every device they use.
I prefer a good compromise between battery duration and UI performance than a super speedy UI that I can frantically browse at the expense of some hours of battery duration.

@General_Witt the “lag” is maximal reduced when you Turn Off the Vibration Feedback from the digital crown! 👍Try this

Unless you really need it, turn off the vibration and beeps when you use the crown and pushers. This will help since the OS is trying to time things with vibrations and beeps.

@savvase This was my concern when buying SR two months ago. I agree with others - I also wouldn’t point it out as an issue.

If you do that, will it then not vibrate exercising with laps etc?

                    Cheers

Thank you all for your feedback I am between two watches the garmin forerunner 965 and the suunto race the garmin offers a lot more features (contact less payments, off-line music using Spotify and the ability to choose whatever watch face you want) but i like the looks of the suunto more so probably i am getting the suunto.

@savvase I came from Garmin world because I could hardly appreciate all the metrics that Garmin provides. As a example - it’s nice to know how many breaths I took but never really found it useful. Offline music sounds great unless you’re having here and there issues with scratching sound in your earphones or playback in general. Nevertheless if you fancy neardy-like metrics and custom watch-faces, Garmin is the way to go. Suunto is a bit more on the feeling note but with excellent elevation amd GPS tracking. Either way good luck!

@David-l You can turn just the buttons off, I don’t like the buttons reacting anyway so I have both tones and vibration for buttons off.
