HI !! Since yesterday (I hope) I have been a happy owner of an Ultra Titanium.

I saw that on the Komoot website the latest Suunto 9 (all versions) and the Vertical are also listed as synchronizable between the various models.

Is it possible that Race isn’t?

This is absurd, don’t you think?

      Will Race be implemented?

      Thank you

@Max90PayneFPV Hi, Race is definitely compatible with Komoot. The sync (via Suunto App) works in both directions without any problems.

I do have a Race and my planned routes from Komoot are imported into the Suunto app and the watch.

But if you are complaining about Komoot, why do you do that in Suunto’s forum? 🙂

            Hi !!

I see that in this forum you are very protective of the Suunto brand!!

I asked here because I believed that compatibility management is handled by Suunto and not by Komoot.

            Thanks for your reply

@Sturgis I’m a long time Kamoot to Suunto user but have never been able to get the sync to work both ways. Can I check how you do this?

Also with Wahoo and Kamoot if I amend the route on Kamoot it amends the route in the Wahoo. With Sunnto I have to delete the router and upload manually.

I love the Kamoot Sunnto combo, works great, but it isn’t as seemless as Wahoo have managed.

@Max90PayneFPV In fact, no Suunto watch is directly compatible with Komoot. That’s not how it works.
Komoot synchronizes with your Suunto App account, and it shouldn’t matter what watch you have.

@Audaxjoe As I wrote, it works via Suunto app.

As soon as I save a planned route in Komoot, this route appears as a new route under Maps in Suunto app. Now, just select that this route should be used on watch.

As soon as I save my finished training on the watch, the route will automatically transfered from watch to Suunto app and from the app automatically to Komoot.

Of course, Komoot has to be a connected service in Suunto app for this.

This is the same on my S9B, as on my new Race. My understanding is, that this is made by Suunto app and will work with all Suunto watches connected to the Suunto app.

@Sturgis I see what you mean. Yes mine does that perfectly.

If I edit a route in Kamoot after it is on the wahoo the update is then resynchronized with the unit. Also if I delete a route on Kamoot it deletes it on the Wahoo. I wasn’t sure if this is what you meant.

It is no big deal, but would be a lot smoother if SA worked like Wahoo with Kamoot.

I can manually download the amended GPX from Kamoot but this then looses turn by turn directions when uploaded.

@Audaxjoe Yes, your right. The sync with Wahoo Elemnt is more directly, whereas the sync to the Suunto watch needs some more manual steps, but it works without any problems for me.

Does anybody know if there is a ‘past’ route sync limit with the Suunto app?

I have full mapping on Komoot with many routes already planned but after linking to the Suunto app it only appears to sync one route from last year. Any new created routes appear to make it over into the Suunto app but not a lot from before the link.
                          Known bug?
