@Mauerwegler with all my respect, we can laugh about everything, but not with everyone. We are not mocking people nor their problems, we are making generic humour. Watch design is unique, humankind wrists are not. Sorry if it is not funny for you. PS : i have such wrist which is not equal to Suunto’s design, my SV is “hurting” me as well, but my wife’s sometime as well, i can’t return it/her neither PS2 : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Animal_Farm [image: 1727357197288-f9d77c00-2850-4053-9f3c-fd8b70fbe4ca-image.png]

@Kai-Liu comment was about audit. And an independent audit clarifies it, not what media has to say or not. But so much for independence in C. One can’t even say Winnie the Pooh there 🧸

@localful I pretty much always run using a stryd footpod as I find the instant pace data more accurate, especially for intervals. I don’t generally find over a race such as 10k there is much disagreement between the stryd and GPS but summer races with lots of tree cover and trail races have more disagreement (just like in training)

@borgein did you read above potential explanation ? map orientation is based on compass when not moving under a specific speed (thus reacting quickly to you moving your wrist around) and map is pointing to movement(gps) direction above this speed --> map is only responsive following your movement direction and position change

@iterumtenta said in Navigation off by default: @Łukasz-Szmigiel I agree. It is upsetting. Agreed also. Every single time, I have to go and set it to off, it’s really annoying. I don’t want that extra screen, especially a breadcrumb for 90% of my runs which are around the house.

@Jonathan-Schwarz Suunto … unfortunately I will not become a new user of your ecosystem. It’s no longer about the individual watch type, but that you don’t fix basic things.

@Grundy82 glad to hear it! Just a quirk of the tagging I suppose that if one data point isn’t setup it defaults to the “hardest” interpretation of any data.

@murphyp228 some notes on Stryd/Suunto, with a link to a forum post where we got into it: https://zulusierra.co/p/using-suunto-and-stryd-in-2024 TL;DR is that the workout data from Suunto contains elevation, but that elevation is overwritten by data from the pods. I had the same issue, and Stryd and I resolved it by swapping the primary pod over. You do this by identifying the current pod 1, unpairing both pods, and then taking what was pod 2 and your phone somewhere out of bluetooth range of pod 1. Pair, then it’ll be come pod 1, and pair the other pod which will become pod 2. Ta da you should see elevation data…

The issue is back this morning: I see a 1-hour difference between the Suunto App and my Vertical. I can’t explain what pattern causes this difference. (Using iOS).

@ThatNorwegianGuy I tried the maps again today and noticed again the same problem. The watch counts more distance to go to the next turning point, in reality you are coming nearer and nearer to the turning point… Confusing I must say… Hoped this was solved.

@Tami999 My wrist measures 18.5 cm. If I use too much, the watch moves less, but I have a circular trace and general discomfort (and the horn always rubs), I don’t see myself classifying this part! This is a new watch and will void the warranty. I also tried a nylon strap, but that doesn’t change anything since the problem is with the holster. The horns are too low and bite into the skin and bone of the wrist. I have never encountered a problem with Apple and Garmin. This is a real shame because I love the look of the vertival and the features suit me perfectly (apart from the OHR but with a belt, this is corrected)
