Today,I test my new changed watch 29 Aug 2024. There is no different between high vs. low vs no back light. Base on my experience, the black circle appears 2 months, getting darker after 6 months. I will check again after using 2months. Thank for all suggestion. ![alt text]([image: 1725436251144-179ddd03-9052-4dd9-b4ea-a77819623603-image.jpeg] image url) ![alt text]([image: 1725436277562-5f958ffd-aa3d-4105-aaae-909603d5a90a-image.jpeg] image url) ![alt text]([image: 1725436411270-771e8f5f-2e02-4eee-83c3-c65791268b6b-image.jpeg] image url)

Hello everyone, I don’t know what I did but I ended up with my newly created account deleted… I’m still thinking about this and I can’t make up my mind. When cycling I use my Garmin computer and I think that a Garmin watch could be good for tracking on a single application. Now I just have a non-solar vertical in hand and it is a very beautiful object. Finally, for the record, a friend received a new Garmin on Friday morning and it crashed upon startup. So yes there are problems at Garmin too. I don’t use a lot of data but I just need it to be reliable. (step counter, daily heart rate) I no longer use sleep data because the big watches prevent me from sleeping properly

@Brad_Olwin yes, I guess they all going through that path. Still Suunto is my favorite, this HR thing is not a big issue but I’m also guessing that all things you’ve pointed will be the near future in all sportwatches. Thanks again for your replies. Cheers

I am experiencing the same issues. All my problems started with update 2.39.20. I bought the device in June, and everything was perfect until the update. The issues began with the heart rate monitor not working (it usually stops during the night). Now, I have additional problems with sleep tracking. I slept really well for 7 hours, but on the watch, it was marked as a 2-hour nap and 3 hours of sleep. I’m sending logs to suunto, hope this will help.

@Maryn Actually the only thing I did was that I have uninstalled the Beta Suunto App and installed the official App from app store. This issue might be related to the iOS app itself - maybe try to delete, install the app again and test if it helped.

@Ketoohs said in Treadmill - adjust distance bug or useless feature: As you can se only the first and the last interval are near the pace (as the last run was in that neighborhood), everything else is way off. And you know why?

@kamarasm said in Map issue: Long story short, I found some in the past and Isazi’s suggestion was to report all of them in the future. Yes, but it would be better to explain what the issue is Posting just the image doesn’t helps that much, and the title could also include some details (like the country) to help in future search

@Tjarco said in some questions before buying: Hi there, i bought a traverse alpha (TA) 4 years ago and it died on me recently. I really enjoyed this watch but some not so milspec quality issues caused it to die on me. (see point 1 below) Now looking at the vertical titanium, but because it’s about 3 times as expensive as the TA, i have some questions/considerations before buying after reading lots of reviews and posts on this forum. The holes for the spring bars in the lugs on the TA were a plastic mould and they deteriorated causing the strap/spring bars to disattach after the mildest of impacts. Are the sping bar holes in the lugs of the SV cast in titanium or are the inside of the lugs also a plastic? On the TA the flashlight could be activated by holding a button, this is not available on the SV right. Is it likely this will be an update, when? On the TA the watch could be locked by holding a button, this is not available on the SV right, Is it likely this will be an update, when?? How likely is it that there will be some new watch faces released this year? Is there anyone who already got some scratches on the bezel and how do these wear? (I was also considering the Garmin Tactix 7 and that bezel paint is horrible, really liked the bezel on the TA because it didn’t show any wear because of the texture) In this thread someone speculated about a price drop for the Suunto in the coming 6/9 months, what drop can be expected if speculating? Is there some sort of return program for diseased Suunto watches, so I could sent in my old TA to get refurbished or trade-inn to get a discount or something? Thanks! EDIT: used VS instead of SV to abbreviate the Suunto Vertical Prices are already down on some sites. Also if you don’t mind you can get some good deals on almost as new SV in Vinted or used marketplace sites. All the points you ask regarding software I wouldn’t have much faith on getting them, since most of them have been asked by users for quite a long time for other watches.

@Arnaud I can say that @Mff73 helped sort out issues I had with WiFi and (in my case) crashing while downloading maps seen here. https://forum.suunto.com/post/128049 and resolution here https://forum.suunto.com/post/128067 I now run the Hotspot off my phone in compatibility mode and is very stable either with my data or public WiFi. Thanks again @Mff73 you got my Vertical maps loaded!
