Map not downloading

Hello Suunto users,

I have a problem for downloading maps (last time I did it correctly was in last summer).
I try to add a new map but when my watch is connected to the charger, nothing triggers as usual (both watch and phone are on wifi).
Does it need a certain level of battery before starting downloading ?

@v-sacre I don’t think specific level of battery is required.

Is it any map or specific one?

@v-sacre Which sw version do you have in your watch? My watch refused to load maps and couldn’t connect to any wifi network with sw 2.39.20. I downgraded to the previous sw and everything worked smoothly.

@BrunoH I did connect to a different wifi network and downloaded maps with the last firmware version in a SVTS. (I was on holidays and I connected to the hotel wifi and downloaded the maps of the area where I was)

It seems to be a Wifi issue with the new firmware.

With the help of @pavel-samokha here is what I did:

• watch software downgrade
• install new map
• software upgrade

@v-sacre perhaps a WiFi Problem and a Problem with the actually firmware? Have a friend with a Vertical. He downgraded the Firmware to 2.37.48 back and it works. Before this he wasnt able to Download maps or connect to WiFi! Perhaps a Firmware Problem. You could try a downgrade – search here the topics for “downgrade”. You will find there how it works ️
