@fondueaufromage Regarding the touchscreen issue, I sent my watch to the service center for inspection. Surprisingly, they were able to resolve the ghost/phantom touch issue simply by performing a soft reset and hard reset. I had already tried both resets myself multiple times, but did not solve the problem. The service center then sent the watch back to me. They only charged me for the courier fee, while the inspection and troubleshooting were provided free of charge. However, about 3–4 days later, the ghost/phantom touch issue returned. I contacted the service center again regarding the recurring problem. As an alternative solution, they offered me a trade-in option. They are offering a 60% discount on a new SV1 Titanium Solar if I trade in my current watch, SV1 Stainless Steel. I accepted the offer.

@dr_free Hello My Suunto Race is stuck in “Service Mode”. I have tried all the possible solutions I can find above and elsewhere. I am currently in Lake Como in Italy. Where can I take the watch to be fixed? Thanks Rem333

Same problem as other recent users. Running 2.50.28 and HR monitor stops working. Can’t turn HR function off and back on, have to do a soft reset. The issue seems to have started (for me anyway) about a month ago, but has been increasing in frequency each week. I thought this was resolved way back in 2.39.20? It’s the same behavior at least.

This is actually a deal breaker for me. I am going to sell my Run and go back to Garmin. My running coach cannot track my progress properly. It’s ridiculous. Suunto if you are listening, well done - you’ve just lost a customer. And I’ll be sure to warn others of the half truths you tell regarding the compatibility so they don’t waste their money like I have.

Hi to all! I am experiencing a poor data record on my SUUNTO 9 BARO CHARCOAL BLACK TITANIUM. To be specific the watch is recording frequent zeroes from a SRAM Red power meter even if I pedal uphill constantly. [image: 1780457980568-71068.jpg] [image: 1780457989758-71069.jpg] [image: 1780457997639-71070.jpg] Here above are linked the data recorded on the same road two times with my SUUNTO 9 (before and after replacing the battery of the power meter) and one time with my AMBIT 3. The old watch recorded zeros only when I turned back so the PM itself should not be an issue. Two weeks ago, on a longer climb, the zeros were disturbing much more the record with a 20% error on the average for a 50 minutes ascend (compared to same ascent last year with similar ascent time) [image: 1780458147281-71426.jpg] Do you have any idea how to solve this problem? Thanks in advance for your help!

I know that HR measurement at the wrist can be difficult and it is better to use a chest strap. However, even for normal walking (not even Nordic walking) I get horribly wrong measurements, e.g. yesterday the watch showed a maximum of 139 bpm in the afternoon, but an 24h-ECG (which should be 100% accurate) shows a maximum of 106 bpm in the morning (it is hard to search for the same time span). Anyhow, the difference is not acceptable! Yes the watch has correct settings (left arm) and is correctly attached to the wrist. What can I do? I need to track my pulse.

Good day, I have a Suunto Spartan Ultra and have had it for 8 years. From my last Samsung UI update my watch has not synced my daily steps with the Suunto app. I have tried the following but not success: Restart phone and watch. Reinstall Suunto App Force stop Suunto App Unpair watch from phones Bluetooth and reconnect. Gave all items on Suunto App permission. Made sure Suunto APP and phone is not on energy saving mode. If anyone has a solution please assist. Kind regards

I haven’t used my D5 since January; I got it out of the cupboard today to charge it as it’s dead, but I can’t remember how to attach the charger. I’ve searched the manual but it just says ‘attach’, it doesn’t explain how. There’s a red thing on the end of the cable which I seem to recall ‘snaps’ onto the watch, but right now it’s not snapping onto anything - it doesn’t stick to the back of the watch like I seem to remember. Have I got this totally wrong? Please can someone explain in simple terms how to attach the charger?! Thanks

@Alonzo @Alonzo said: Alonzo 12 Apr 2026 at 08:08 Thanks for the update and kudos to Suunto team! I experience a bug with resources after the update: they basically stay way too high through days with small rises over night. This does not correlate neither with HRV, sleep duration and HR data, nor with how I actually feel. Resources metrics worked never perfect for me, but it became a bit more useful from January till now. Does anybody else experience similar bug? Hi Alonso, Yes same for me, I’ve had my new Suunto 9 Peak Pro for around a month - I’m hoping this can be fixed as a bug as it is an existing feature. It just doesn’t respond to daily life really & keep getting 100% sleep quality & 100% resources which I never get with other watches I’ve owned. Min/Max heart rate all set correctly. Martin

@Benjamin-Weppe that’s the expected behavior, and I think it’s well documented. You’ll need to publish your app to be included in the SuuntoPlus Store.

and another crash/restart today - no HR strap or ZoneSense fields this time Reddit comment here *yep have had 4 or 5 of these glitches on 7 week old Vertical 2 so far - on only some runs, after a long while it seems to get slow to respond, then freezes, then restarts the watch (except for 1 time when it just exited the activity). Generally most of the run GPS/HR data is still there, except maybe the last 400-500m when the slowness started. What’s missing is the total ascent/descent calculation and some other calculated data. have submitted support ticket & logs thru app each time. no response so far. I first thought it was something to do with ZoneSense, because they only happened when I was using an HR strap & ZoneSense fields in custom Running mode, but today’s glitch/restart was without the HR strap & ZoneSense fields… so that leaves… touch screen, media controls, or 2 other basic S+ apps (HR Zone Duration and Last km/mile)… or it’s just the whole watch OS … maybe it needs a more regular reboot than just at recharge time Trying a more basic Custom Run Mod with none of the above (touch screen, media, S+ apps) to see if it still eventually fails Getting less happy with my purchase :/*

@Highlands said in Suunto Vertical 1 – A Few Questions About the Future + Questions About the Vertical 2 and a Comparison with the Coros Nomad / the New Vertix 2026: @dreamer_ I hope they put a sapphire crystal on R2S. About this, I think my wife’s 46mm Run could fit a 1.4 inches screen. Perhaps they could fit that screen aize in the Race 2 S playing with the bezels and making you think the watch is not that “S” but something comparable to a Fenix 8 47mm . That simple change would make a lot of noise for marketing in my opinion and very likely much better sales (just for that)

@Brad_Olwin Really? Very interesting as XC Skiing is my other Usecase for the Vertical. Sun and Snow together are so bright that the MIP really shines. Also the Solar power collection is welcome. For running I really like the Race S as it is much lighter and the OHR works perfectly since the last update. Waiting for an Ocean 2 Titanium in the Race 2 case. If the new display is that much better it would serve all my demands. But as long as RaceS (discounted), Vertical Titanium (used) and Mares Divecomp together cost less than the Ocean I will stick with this trio

@isazi Hi, I want to add my point of view. I have Suunto Race and I was testing the connection today, since a big race is coming. Until now, I was not using the HR sensor for races, but now I was curious. My HR strap is unfortunately not waterproof enough to wear during the swim. Therefore, I tested, if I can connect it after the swimming part. Once I ended the swim in Triathlon sport mode, I turned on the HR strap. The watch beeped and the strap seemed connected. But, when watching the HR, once I removed it from the wrist, HR vanished. This means, even if the sensor is apparently connected, it still shows the HR data from the watch optical sensor. That’s what I am asking: Is it possible to somehow change the settings to show the HR from the strap rather than watch? Thanks!!

Suunto Core 2!.. For me, this is the best news from the world of watches this year! I love my Core Alpha and I’m curious to see if there will be any hardware or software improvements. Newer isn’t always better. But so far, it looks promising. Just yesterday, I changed the battery in my Core Alpha for the first time in a one year and seven months. I did it in about 30 seconds, sitting on a bench with just a coin. Water resistance is working. A great and affordable survival watch.

@Beardkowski said in Suunto only a brand for runners?: Suunto only advertises with and for runners. What about mountain bikers and road cyclists? A bit more advertising for cycling would be nice, too. Or is Suunto solely a brand for runners? Many cyclists use a bike computer like a Wahoo ELMENT or Garmin Edge and Suunto doesn’t make any of those, but do have a partnership with Hammerhead Karoo. https://us.suunto.com/blogs/blog/how-to-use-karoo-2-bike-computer-with-suunto https://www.hammerhead.io/blogs/teamjournal/see-the-adventure-ahead-with-suunto While one can connect a cycling power meter to a Suunto watch and get the data that way, it’s likely not perceived as quite as good as a bike computer option.

@VoiGAS said in HRM 2?: They could just rebrand one of the newer Movesense models and gain features like ECG, temperature and movement. One of the models has the name HR2… It does, but it has a different chip set. I think this is a net-new product.

@Petr-Manek Suunto’s company policy is not a democracy. Voting for ideas gives the product managers hints. But there are also other sources to make a BC out of the various ideas. This means: voting is never pointless, but also no guarantee for implementation there is almost never a “will not be implemented”. Just Suunto does not share their road map.

@Egika and it works great! Suunto Chest HR strap can only connect to 1 device at a time. Before the update I had to pick my Race 2 or my Hammerhead bike computer. Now I let the HR strap connect to my watch and broadcast HR to my Hammerhead. Problem solved.
