@maxwag90 This just happened to me tonight, 5 minutes before a race started Was the first time I used the lock function because my screen kept moving due my jacket touching the watch face. Had to soft reset, and got the watch ready to race in the nick of time. Do not need that happening again! Seems to be working now though…?

@Marco-Tanzi I believe the “chart” on the watch shows total exercise hours and when you tap on the chart it shows you the activity with the most time for the week. At least that is what I am seeing with mine. I believe running and treadmill are considered “different” activities.

Oh no… “You can expect iOS 26.1 to be released in early November. Apple is expected to make the update available on 3 or 4 November 2025.” I won’t be able to connect my watch to the iPhone 17 for that long. I don’t want to install a beta version because I don’t want any more bugs.

@jthomi, hi, once I’ve discharged the battery until this screen has appeared: well, for me, the press of the middle button was useless. So, I put in charge the watch for a reasonable time (in order to get the battery at 100%), but nothing changed: the screen was always there. Then, I restored the watch by means of a soft reset.

@neilme I wasn’t referring to customizing the default structured workout screen, that’s not possible in any Suunto as you said, but I was saying that only on Suunto Run you cannot add your own screens to the structured workout. On all other Suunto watches, while you cannot customize the Suunto Guide screen, you can add your own screens along side, this isn’t the case for Suunto Run. Interval pace, interval distance on Suunto Run are useless right now, you won’t see them during a structured workout because on Suunto Run as I said before, you cannot add your own screens, so you’re left with a few screens Suunto makes available during structure workouts and that’s it.

Hallo I bought my new suunto peak 9 more than 2 years ago and I’m sure when I recorded my mountain bike rides I could see my actual height and total ascent in the first training display. Since one years those 2 values don’t appear any more both in the first as well as in the second default display. How is it possible? I know I can customize my activity with displays of my choice. But I’m talking about default displays. My trekking displays on the contrary still show those values. What happend to all bike activities? Was it some some firmwafe update? It’s quite obvious that in any aoutdoor activities those 2 values are important and shoud be displayes as default. Can somebody give me an answer? Another question. I have difficulties interpreting many suunto display icons. Can’t suunto print a list of the its icons coupled with their meanings and functions Thank you in advance

@ibrahim-bayram you can’t load stuff from chatgpt … and to be honest I wouldn’t use it for coaching @ibrahim-bayram said in Suuntoapp not updating external workouts to s9baro: gpt saying develepor mode of suunto app has this function maybe someway to open develepor mode This is pure AI hallucination bs and even if a developer mode exists, it’s meant for developers, not to load training plans. Can’t you use Suunto Coach ? Can’t you find any available, valid training ?

Hello, today we noticed this issue on my wifes 5 Peak. Unfortunatelly it has already 2.5 year so it is not under warranty anymore. And she is light user, and not wearing it while washing dishes, showering, sleeping etc. Only around 9hours a day during working days only and then while cycling/hiking but thats few times a month. I haven’t used my D5 since January; I got it out of the cupboard today to charge it as it’s dead, but I can’t remember how to attach the charger. I’ve searched the manual but it just says ‘attach’, it doesn’t explain how. There’s a red thing on the end of the cable which I seem to recall ‘snaps’ onto the watch, but right now it’s not snapping onto anything - it doesn’t stick to the back of the watch like I seem to remember. Have I got this totally wrong? Please can someone explain in simple terms how to attach the charger?! Thanks

My 2 cents: from what I heard, out of range alarms are only a pain for those who have them - both with newer Suunto models and Garmin watches. None of the bugs introduced or left untouched by the last couple of updates affects my usage, and the new climb guidance has been useful on my recent trail runs, so personally I’m happy to keep this update. I see why other users are unhappy, anyway.

I can’t get the bottom screen when there are WP on the route, whatever the zoom level on profile. I’ll PM you

@pavel.samokha Is there any hope that the Balkans will get back the contour lines above the 200 m limit anytime soon? I’m really struggling to understand why some regions get this but others don’t. This has now been going on for years, and I tend to buy a new watch every 2-3 years. So it spans the entirety of this watch’s lifetime with me. Why do some regions get better treatment regarding maps? Should this be presented to buyers so they know that, depending on the region they live in, some features could not work as expected? I love Suunto ecosystem and build quality, but I’m not sure I’d accept this limitation on my next watch TBH.

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos if it’s not too late… > Agility would also be great. I would even think that having two different GPS tracks simultaneously recorded (one for the dog and one for the runner) would be incredible (just dreaming… or maybe an actual business opportunity ).

@Tieutieu said in Feature request : set an alarm during exercice: Hey, I couldn’t find any post or topic related : when an alarm is set before starting exercice, it rings during exercice. But we can’t set a new alarm when an exercice has started. It would be so useful to be able to activate a new alarm through exercice options. For instance during a nap on an ultra trail race. This summer I missed that so much during a 39h race, and had to use my phone instead. Oh man, I’m sleeping thru a watch alarm on a dirt nap LOL Otherwise yes, love this idea

@Tomas5 A little late, but yes - at least my Race S has automatic brightness. It works sometimes good, sometimes really bad. Must of the summer with the bright sun coming from one side you either have a really bright and readable display (sun side) or its unreadable (shadow side). Yesterday on a sunny autumn trailrun in the woods it worked really great. I think the more dizzy light helps. My conclusion is: AMOLED can work great - when the software helps to optimize the light settings. There is room for improvement and so is hope…

@Alpha-156.42 said in OHR: Why do people believe that optical heart rate sensors, no matter if they’re from Garmin, Apple, or other brands, can measure heart rate accurately in every situation? This is why, text directly from suunto race 2 product page: The redesigned back panel enables better heart rate measurement from the wrist. The result? A seamless, powerful training experience. But text that it doesn’t work for everyone or every skin tone is buried somewhere in usermanual only. It is same with sleeptracking or any other metric. If you sell device for 500€ and advertise that it does something, then you must expect that people will require that advertised features just works. This is overal problem of marketing, not just Suunto.

@Brad_Olwin Definitely would be though I use an Oura ring for sleep, even more comfortable Would be great if Suunto/Oura had an integration though I don’t think any of the watches have that.

@Josaiplu RPE is a very good metric, but feeling is not exactly that and there was a thread where one could see that people understand that quite differently, therefor any addition to algorithm does not make sense also in my opinion. (But Recovery is also kind of made up metric that has not much science behind it, so maybe it fits, idk)

@sky-runner Ok, I think I see where you mean - that small section between the two dots (waypoints or turns)? So you think it just skipped ahead while you were somewhere on section 6? (Sorry, I’m trying to follow along.) Perhaps in addition to the watch always trying to figure out which direction you’re traveling, it’s also always trying to figure out where you are along the route, rather than just assuming you are strictly moving from one point to the next. So maybe somewhere along section 6, it incorrectly guessed you were farther along in your route (since the paths cross at 6/7) and updated the directional arrow accordingly, but hadn’t yet updated the distance remaining since that lags behind. I’d bet if you had followed the light blue path, away from your car, the remaining distance would have also skipped ahead soon after. But since you followed the route as planned, it didn’t have time to adjust to this mistake. Whatever is going on, you are correct that it’s screwy and inconsistent.

@duffman19 said in Suunto navigation tendency to auto-reverse route when it shouldn't. Bug or misguided feature?: I think the best solution is to offer a menu option to navigate a route backwards, so the user must knowingly select it. I agree, happened to me today as well. I may be mistaken but iirc that was possible when I used the Ambit 3 peak

@raven I totally agree with you on this. I would seriously consider it as a daily driver if it has better watch faces (or at least updates rather than the original set still…) and maps. I could probably live without ZS, but I love Climb Guidance and better watch faces.

@soisan Are you sure those are trails and not dirt roads? Dirt roads are visible at one level beyond trails. In the USA, when the watch is configured in imperial units, trails are visible up to 500 ft (150m) and dirt roads up to 0.2mi (320m). But I think even 500m is insufficient. Up until a few months ago I could still see trails at 0.5mi zoom level (800m). And I thought even that was insufficient.

@Thunderchicken Yes, there is a SuuntoPlus app named Emergency Info that does exactly this. When active, it rotates between two screens: one showing medical details, and another showing emergency contacts. It takes up one of the two available SuuntoPlus slots and is only visible while recording an activity, but it would serve a similar purpose as your note. It would be nice to have this feature always available as a widget. Maybe in the future SuuntoPlus apps will work this way… [image: 1758318937437-img_de4b173e85d7-1.jpeg]
