@larrybbaker I’ve already disconnected Strava and tried to delete it. It just comes back.

@2b2bff well, yes, that is exactly how it worked before last update. I can confirm, that after last watch update (suunto Race), the watch stopped to count intervalls. the whole session is recorded as one interval with total time. So the swim pace is screwed, because the time spent in rest between intervals is counted as swim time. And what is even more weird is that, very rarely, some interval is counted. for example, a do 4x300m intervals with 20s rest. everything is counted as one 1200m long interval. then I swim for 50m easy and voila, 50m interval is counted. it’s random and there is no way how to make the watch to count intervals correclty. in the new firmwre. As I mentioned, it used to work correcly in previous firmware.

@Keith_Michael and would be great if you could also add Body Fat Percentage, that you measure yourself, too. Especially if you do weight training would be great to see this way if muscle mass is gained/lost

@Stefan1 Agreed, and sure i want more detailed data, for example to look at particular dive in suunto app. Now we can’t enter each dive in suunto app.

For those interested in seeing that the solar collector on your Vertical Solar is working when you are out and about, I’ve created a list of watch faces that can display Solar icons. I’ve looked through most of the watch faces from the Suunto Plus Store. What I’ve found is that the watch faces on the following list have the capability of displaying a Solar complication on the face. These complications are always those that are of the larger round variety of complication and not the smaller rectangular style. Of these, only the Vertical can show a graph of the sunlight harvested. Christmas wonder Color Explosion Data Outdoor Vintage Vertical Adrenaline Modern Analog Weekly Trainer Lion’s New Year Leap

@Keith_Michael I’d probably note that both these things are easily accomplished with tags on any current sport mode like chores, and then you can subdivide your projects with different tags for instance, if used for hobbys.

@Squirrel Thanks a lot! Now it makes sense. I am new to TrainingPeaks and I tried to study how the CLT, ATL and TSB are calculated and I though that I understand it but then different text description of values in the app and watch totally confused me. Also in the watch manual there is no deep description of widgets, there are just few general sentenses without needed details. I think that this would be an easy fix which helps people to start with training peaks. Also lots of people complains than Suunto watches are often inconsistent with the app and this would help at least a bit with this issue…

@amko34 said in [BUG] Race 2 - If you set Pace zones, they disappear as intensity zones targets: Has anybody else noticed this? I would assume this is rather a software/firmware error than an error by my watch itself. Yes, first mentioned here https://forum.suunto.com/post/180107 No idea if Suunto officially noticed this, but it is a serious issue. This thread should be probably filed in https://forum.suunto.com/category/33/watches because it appears firmware related. @pavel.samokha

@fejker yes, just one sad thing is. When importing exercise to Suunto App it won’t show him burned calories in daily burned calories section. I have been debating about this with suunto support in chat for a while and nothing can be done. I have recently switched to Garmin which was adding kcal but not adding training into my tiredness. Best solution for the moment to me is to connect trainer to watch and zwift in parallel. Training from zwift remain in zwift and from Garmin goes to Strava for example. Also in thus case I’m not tight to zwift only. Using wahoo app too from time to time.

Not exactly topic but related… I don’t know if « uphill bug » has been corrected for ski resort native sport mode (it counts distances and elevations of lifts…what force to correct manually total distance and elevation to 0).

@raven My power meter is broadcasting CSCS and CPS. In older firmwares I could choose foot pod (CSCS) or power pod (CPS). Now Suunto does the choice and connects CSCS only. No possibility to connect CPS. That is the problem.

RUNNING AND TRAIL RUNNING The screen is easy to read at both dawn/sunrise and dusk/sunset, even with sunglasses; the difference compared to the 9PP is noticeable. (I haven’t tested it in full sunlight yet). Having maps instead of the 9PP’s breadcrumb display is also a significant improvement. Although I never had orientation problems with the 9PP, I think the Race S, with its maps, makes it much easier. Viewing the different Climb segments is also much easier now with the Race S. I really didn’t like the screen going black. In the end, I had to enable the Always On Display (AOD). I also ended up putting the maps in dark mode. The slight lag when switching to the light map display was driving me crazy. I really missed the contrast tooth color that the 9PP has; I think it makes reading the data easier at a glance because it visually structures it.

@Sunday while I found the Race S with it’s rotating crown not ideally suited for beach sports, the tides request has been around for quite some time. Maybe you can find one of the other posts and just upvote it

Same here, to me it feels as if the refresh rate of the OHR module is too low. It seems to double the actual value quite often also in posts above this is true… it is 60 but shows 120 ish… a bit sad. Hopefully newer watches get a better module. I dont think this can be fixed by software.

Thanks for the replies. I did two things - and I am not sure what solved it - I deleted the cache of my Suunto app (in case there were issues from my previous dive-computer), but I also tried to download the maps while the computer was connected to the charger - so not sure what was the solution… At least it works… which I guess is the important thing…

@vinc14 said in Outback Adventure watchface: Hallo After a long time, I made the leap from 2.37.48 to 2.48.16. I then changed the watch face to Outback Adventure. So far, the watch is working, but I have a few questions about the watch face. How can I remove the lock symbol and still have the vertical lookend? Not clear on this one Why can’t Suunto simply define this as an option? How can I replace the lower part with weather information with fitness information such as TSB, CTL, ATL? This is simply not an option The weather information is useless because it is usually wrong, and I don’t need information about the valley when I’m in a mountain hut. Overall you might simply want to use a different watch face, there are many available. Have a nice day, Vinc
