Hello! Since updating my Suunto Vertical to the latest version, I have noticed the following issues: The Wi-Fi menu stays permanently set to “Off” (as shown in the photo). [image: 1743421771513-img_1695.jpg] On the new watch faces, especially the Athletics watch face, the data remains frozen and does not update throughout the day. For example, if I set the energy level complication in the bottom left corner, it stays at the same level. The only way to update it is to reset the watch or start an activity. I have read that many others are experiencing the same issues. Is there a solution, or do I have to wait for the next update (in about three months)?

@Seybothula any bluetooth HR belt can be used with these watches. One thing to watch our for is whether the particular device transmits R-R interval data (like the Suunto Smart Sensor or Polar H10 do) or just HR snapshots. R-R data is required for ZoneSense to work. The only feature Suunto watches only support with Suunto Smart Sensor is the capability to use the sensor’s memory to store the HR data while the watch is out of BT range (like during swimming).

@emmanuel Another user commented that a hard reset solved the issue https://forum.suunto.com/post/164834 This bug is known at Suunto. I am personnaly having the same issue (fortunetely, I don’t need new maps) but understand your frustration.

Hi, no, you don’t have to pair it with the watch, and then unpair it after a workout. Just pair it once. Then just put the chest strap on, wait before you start your activity until you see a green belt icon above the START button, this means the chest strap is connected to the watch. That’s all.

@Egika Good point, well presented I’ve just had a play with it & you’re right, there is now a ‘breadcrumb’ option in the map menu that didn’t used to be there so must have been added in the latest software (unless I just completely missed it previously). Either way it’s a fantastic tool to have & thanks for the feedback

One more weird behavior here, trying to understand what happened. Backcountry skiing. Everything fine up to a certain moment where my watch decided to climb hundreds and hundreds of meters. Pics attached, I also have a JSON file downloaded from the excellent QS, if somebody wants to help me. Hint. I was using my old AP3, attached to my backpack. It seems that both cases ocurred when going down on an excellent snow, having tons and tons of fun. I skied down previously, at a similar speed with the watch also in my backpack. Not so much fun, however. As i felt like in heaven, could it be that it was not only my feelings, but the reality??? @far-blue I experienced the same issue at the weekend (on latest software version) even after uninstalling the app/rebooting the watch & closing he app numerous times. I was about to give up when it randomly worked… I’ve just tested again & it will NOT load at all now despite being the only app in the watch (Race) When it loads it’s a great app but I’d like to see the alert font making bigger & the number of ‘events’ increasing as currently an alert every 30 mins is only good for anything up to 10 hours unless someone knows how to restart it without having to stop, save & restart the exercise recording ?! Both of the above shouldn’t be a massive job & will make the app even better

@Brad_Olwin thanks Brad. I was hoping to get away from that. Had to do it several times in the last few months. Ugh. Better take screen shots of all my setting etc.

@Vanillaface Check Settings/General/About on the watch and scroll down until you see Assisted GPS. This should have the current date. If not the file for finding satellites is not loaded. A second issue is that this file requires a few minutes to unpack. If it syncs to the watch immediately before an exercise it will take much longer to get a GPS lock. Your lock (solid green arrow) should take only a few seconds if you have a good view of the sky.

@isazi said in Suunto Plus Stryd App: @TyreseJ4 sorry, I meant that you should not connect the old way if you want to use the S+ app. So try to unpair, or just disable the sensor in the pre-activity screen, and try the app again OMG, I know this thread is rather old but I had always thought that the Suuntoplus Stryd app did not work for me because the Stryd sensors never connected. It had not occurred to me that completely unpairing the Sensor would solve the problem. Any downsides to not pairing it as a footpod like in the old days? Does the Suunto watch and app (outside the Suunto+ Stryd app) see the power measured by the Stryd nonetheless? EDIT: It appears the answer is no, all the other Suunto screens display and use wrist-calculated power (see https://forum.suunto.com/post/139268). I need to do some testing if that is still the case.

@Raimo-Järvi great to hear from you, Raimo! As long as the S+ itself is working I take this as what it is: an example picture of the layout. Have a nice day!!

@Egika That is the one. Not sure the color change is a bug. A lot of other complications have lost color changes as well.

@Fermizante You are lucky because I am in the opposite situation. Sleep tracking was working good with the previous firmware and now with the last, no sleep tracking since 3 days and all actions done to correct the situation are not successful.

@Brad_Olwin At least for me also the treadmill correction factor was gone after one of the last updates. Not sure about the latest one as the temperature allows outdoor running

@maszop garmin has a special AR mode, that allows recording but not much else. and basically it shows a time stamp since when this mode was enabled uninterruptedly. So it can be checked easily after the race.
