Altitude and Elevation Gain Measurement Issue
-
My Suunto Race watch has been experiencing significant issues when measuring elevation gain during activities.
The errors are far too large to be considered acceptable. For example, I have recorded discrepancies of more than 200 meters of elevation gain on activities with around 700 meters D+.
I have also noticed that when running at a flat path, the watch sometimes records diferent altitude at the same place, with a diference of 5 minutes between them.
I have already tried recalibrating the altitude several times (automatic and manual), but the issue reappears shortly afterwards.
What should i do?
Example: 2 screenshots at the same place, with a different altitude.

@pvricardo Either the barometer sensor is dirty or the sensor has failed. I had the exact failure with my Race and had the watch replaced on warranty.
In case the issue is caused by dirt, you can try soaking the watch in water, then let it dry and check if that has resolved the issue.
