my main reasons for this watch (and switching to suunto) has been (without special order):

not made china, and that suunto i a european company. (i like that alot) the very good gps reception in worse conditions. fusedalti (it is soo awesome, not to recalibrate while doing longer sports) the battery life the simplicity of the OS. that there are no more softwareupdates, because there is no need for it. VO2max (i got used too train with it, it gives me a very good point, if i am improving, or should change somthing) every other watch will get old. this one (from an electronic standpoint) is already and can easy compete with the newest.

You can use SA and MC apps together, just make sure only one is running, the other cannot be running in the background.

Honestly I don’t see a point of using two apps together. There are zero features in SA that I’d want that I don’t already get by syncing with Movescount. I guess the only reason for me to sync with SA would be to use mobile route editor, but that would disable Movescount sync, so no thanks!

Here are the ones for me…Workout Planner as I have my workouts show up in the watch and occasionally I need waypoints. Once those are in SA I will be done with MC. I can get by w/o waypoints most of the time but not always. I use the workout planner a lot.

Ahh, did not read carefully enough. The route planner and customization of sport modes for me in SA are worth it. Finally, completely offline syncing is worth it for me too. So I am on SA just waiting for the two features above to transfer and I am done with MC.

If you still want those few missing activities to reach Moveacount, you could use SALogbook to check and clear sync flags.

• Ambit (3,2,1) and Traverse family watches no longer sync exercises to Movescount web (syncing settings, sport mode customization, and routes still available).
• SuuntoLink replaces MovesLink2 as service connection to Suunto app.

yes that is true, I also changed my Strava to sync from SA now for exactly the altitude reasons.

Not sure I get it right, but may be the author connected his Suunto App account to Strava after syncing the watch to Suunto App. Then his workouts hasn’t been pushed. All his new workouts will push to Strava, I’d recommend to try it @jahtba - record a new workout with you Ambit and check if it’s pushed to strava.
For your older workouts that haven’t been pushed to Strava the easiest way is to download workouts as FIT files from Suunto App and then upload the files to Strava

@margusl thanks for the tip. Unfortunately I can’t find it (maybe I deleted it when I cleaned up my install ; before I discovered it was not working because of the update itself I thought it was due to a wrong installation).
I exchanged this with the chat support and all they answered is « sorry but you have to upgrade windows ». Which is equivalent in my case as buy a new computer. Unreal

As I also said many times, it works for me since ages, with custom mode + routes in SA, and MCapp.
Btw, if it doesn’t work for some of you, the question is to find why 🙂
It could be a nice bug found 🙂

@RiphRaph I am sorted, great work by Tommaso, patiently talking me through it. Pairing / no PIN number no longer an issue for me. Replaced Moveslink2 -> Movescount - > Strava with Suuntolink, watch plugged into laptop -> Suunto app -> Strava…copied Movescount activities to app.
