@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos I can’t even figure out how to set up (i.e. install) a single sport-mode, from SA, am I missing something? Say I want to add mountain-biking, to my watch, how do I do it? More importantly, how do I do it, say if I get a new phone/device, on 1/5/20? The GPS-granularity thing is a HUGE deal, for some of my sports, and I’m confident I’m not alone. If they’re not going to ever add ANY settings, for the Ambit3 family, why don’t they just admit it? If it’s just “the Ambit3 will have close to zero supported functionality”, can’t they just say that, so users can make informed decisions, going forward? It “seems” a bit like Suunto’s “April update” was mostly just “we see you’re commenting, we’re going to make it harder to install MC after 12/31/19 (a lot harder if you don’t know how to sideload), and maybe we’ll say something new, in May”? I’m really, really trying not to be just a “negative poster” here, but I’m looking for the “positives”, in the process here?

@TELE-HO I really hope you are right. Using a friends S9 during a weekend I was able to use SA more completely. I was disappointed with both the watch and SA. Had a black screen on my first move, took long time to get GPS position (compared to A3) and disliked the configuration in SA. Basically it’s mostly the configuration I’m disappointed with in SA. But have not used the other features as much as in Movescount because SA is on small screen. Hopefully many ambit configuration possibilities will be added to SA, but so far I have not been reassured.

@Brad_Olwin this must be a recent fluctuating change. It has worked for a long time. And it worked several times over the past days.

@silentvoyager I do not think this is SA connection but all day HR/Steps and sleeping. If you turn off activity tracking and the sleep monitor the battery on the S9b lasts a long time even when constantly connected to SA. I do like to get notifications on the watch.

Hi, Thank you for your suggestions advices. Unfortunately, the contrast settings not helped, the display test was fine in the service menu, I consulted with the service center, he told, later or sooner should be replace the display, therefore: I bought a brand new Ambit3 Peak HR black again. The price-value ratio is very good, I have two years warranty. At last but not least the accuracy is also very good of the built-in positioning system. (GPS) The following writings perfectly represent it: https://the5krunner.com/2016/11/05/test-route-for-gps-devices/ Thank you.

@running-L There is no sync between from SuuntoApp to Movescount. And there never will be an official way. There is a workaround, like @Brad_Olwin says.

@downstorffleon If it is a good owner he listens to advice from experts instead of pushing his/her ideas. If the security policy of the company is so strict that employees are unable to install software by themselves on their devices, than it is usually because of good reasons. Reasons that, imo, would overrule the wish to install software for personal use on a company device. Also, are you held accountable for the issues that happen with Suuntolink or the watch if something goes wrong? What if, for instance, a new security measure of the company disrupts the communication between Suuntolink and the watch and the watch responds by asking to reset it. Some users have seen this with a faulty USB cable () and some users with incorrect USB redirection to a VM. Can the same owner then blame you for it? I would strongly advice the owner not to mix personal data with a company device, but I also know company politics doesn’t always work that way.

@nyrup @isazi Thanks, I got it now, I can share via the app (not perfect, but do-able)! Now I just need to sort out my “connect from >1 device” issue, which I posted in another thread (after quite a few searches yielded questions about multiple watches, my tertiary question to that one). Just for reference, would prefer to discuss that one in the other thread: https://forum.suunto.com/topic/6050/sync-from-multiple-1-android-devices-surely-this-is-supported-now-2021

@peter-juvan , POIs and routes are included in Data Export - https://www.movescount.com/settings#export . It was rather slow when I used it last time about a month ago, took days (if not week+) to get the download link, but I’m sure you’ll receive it eventually. If you need those right now and would rather leave hacky ways aside (a’la https://gist.github.com/marguslt/4ad715ae43475cd90031c29f9ff1f039 , which should still work), there’s also a chrome extension for MC POIs - https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/movescount-helper/cebfemegbnobfibklpbbkaiblcmjgebf

hi @gianluca91 (@isazi and @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos FYI ) Seems like the is an issue with the native map on movescount. When i tried to plan a route using native maps on movesvount - and export it to GPX - it doesn’t contain any <ele> info So what i recommend is to use staff like Strava or Komoot and export GPX - then import route to Movescount. Hi there. I’ve been struggling with that for a while, and wondering if there is specific format i should use while importing maps to Movescount. (in order to sync with Watch as SA does not work with Ambit lines. ) then - (important part) - make sure you drop at least start point and end point on your imported route. and if you want - few additional waypoints. that will make sure some elevation profile is recorded. If you want to be sure you have that info on MC - export that route gpx from MC - and open with text editor or notepad and look for <ele> </ele> information - if not there - it won’t work on Suunto Watch. [image: 1627059538220-screenshot-2021-07-23-at-17.49.40.png] Aditionaly you can check if when adding waypoints you got Elevation info : Example without Elevation (when planned route on MC) [image: 1627074134012-screenshot-2021-07-23-at-18.05.14.png] Example with Elevation WayPoint (when imported from Komoot. [image: 1627074251019-screenshot-2021-07-23-at-22.03.27.png] Last not least - ignore fact that there is no count for Ascent and Descent. - elevation profile still should be there. ( I did not managed yet how to make that working for total Ascent Descent values) [image: 1627074362925-screenshot-2021-07-23-at-22.03.52.png]

@Efejota said in Movescount route creation no longer possible?: Amazing. I reloaded the MC route creation webpage using my phone as an Access Point, as suggested in the Facebook discussion (kudos @margusl ) and now it works even using my Wifi network. At least, up to this point. Thanks a lot J I had that problem and that was solution for me also.

@wanderinghead , yes it’s a meta-data. There are cases where it can be still useful as it’s also a main source for notes and tags. For example if one chooses to forward all FIT activities exported from Movescount to some other service and that service happens to have a (semi)open API, it’s possible to transfer at least some of that extra content.
