For me, the sleep data recording isn’t working reliably either. For whatever reason, my bedtime is set and I wear the watch normally. I wish there was a way to at least manually correct this, because the entire recovery calculation isn’t accurate. I hope for a function in the app to add the missing sleep manually: https://forum.suunto.com/topic/13267/add-sleep-manually

@Victor_B I have the same problem. I suspect it’s related to the folders. The contents of the folders are found, but perhaps not reliably. It doesn’t seem to be designed to create folders. @6iovanni Do you have folders in it or all songs in the top level?

When using the live app I also sometimes loose belt and other sensor connections. I reported this to the team fyi and sent logs.

@sky-runner Is think a short uphill shouldn’t be a climb but a uphill section. So the second climb might be steeper but it is short. Only my opinion of course. Funny last year I cycled 2500km across Europe with a couple of friends. We had Suunto, Garmin and Wahoos in the group. I found the Suunto easily the best as it didn’t keep saying every uphill section was a climb, but possibly for less experienced riders it might be a bit harsh. If Suunto said it was a climb you remember it! Wahoo seemed to have everything as a climb! Garmin in the middle. Checking in the morning before leaving for the day the Sunnto might show 3 climbs, Garmin 10 and Wahoo 30! But for me the Suunto was the most useful. I did think for a lot of people the way Garmin and Wahoo report climbs would be more appreciated but I only wanted to know if it would be a proper sustained uphill section. The Wahoo is pretty good at making one long climb with a flat/downhill section one climb. The Suunto is inclined to split the climb. I can’t remember how the Garmin got on.

@BrunoH thanks for your replay and I guess you are right. I’ll just have to wait for the successor of the vertical come. Thanks.

@sky-runner said in Auto-detected lactate threshold is horribly wrong: So clearly at least something isn’t right No, it is an obvious bug somewhere, but not something I’ve encountered with my Race S and the Android version of the Suunto app. Here is the latest aerobic number: [image: 1751778407701-1000008243.jpg] [image: 1751778439457-1000008245.jpg] And the whole week has been spot on, reflecting coming back after a small injury, with dropping aerobic conditioning and a few days of unbearable temperatures followed by rainy ones. Trying to do ‘easy’ trail runs of around one hour (except the last one which was a village run of 32 minutes): “Measured” “Aerobic threshold” 140 bpm 20.1C–20.9C ZS Green 67% Yellow 33% 146 bpm 26.4C–28.6C ZS Green 74% Yellow 26% 144 bpm 16.1C–16.0C ZS Green 81% Yellow 19% 141 bpm 14.9C–14.7C ZS Green 86% Yellow 14% By the way, at least with the Race S there is no need to activate the S+ ZoneSense app in the watch. Everything is native as long as a HR strap is in use. The app only gives a nice graphical view of the effort level.

@benille You’d have to find the older firmware version. You could try to ask for a link and instructions in https://forum.suunto.com/topic/6836/firmware-collection

@maszop so can a shortcut be added to the right side of the watch’s home screen? (we can add widgets to the left side)

@elbee You are probably already aware but you can reconfigure the widgets so weather is accessed by one button push or set it as the ‘hit key’ so you can choose two really quick access widgets. I have weather as my first widget Also a long press on the complications on the watch face should open the widget to set alarm etc. I like the analogue watch face. Ready to read without glasses for my aging eyes 🫩

I’ve done some more tests recently. It’s possible to add a completely newly designed or imported to SuuntoApp route to the watch during an activity. It doesn’t have to be saved in SuuntoApp beforehand. There are some problems with synchronization during an activity, but it works eventually. However, there’s a rather annoying bug when changing the route during an activity. During an ascent or descent, you can’t change it on the fly - there’s some conflict with Climb Guidance (black screen with X symbol on the watch). To get around this, you have to completely disable the current route (Breadcrumb option) and only then load a new route. I hope this gets fixed because I usually don’t have time to mess around in the field with such non-intuitive route changes.

@Alastair-Padgett said in Newbie ,happy to get any kind of help, advice or guidance : I hope you’re enjoying your new watch. Not sure what you mean with this statement: So with the intro in mind let me ask a few questions ,seemingly everyone is having issues with compatibility with MAC OSX ,and the two current software patches to allow updates and laptop based training work ? Can you explain how did you came to the conclusion that everyone has issues with MacOS compability? You should pair the watch with the either app on iOS or Android. I am also not aware of any laptop based training. I would also advise to read through the manual as a first step: https://ns.suunto.com/Manuals/Suunto_Vertical/Userguides//Suunto_Vertical_UserGuide_EN.pdf

@marcomonari Did you remove HR zone duration in SuuntoPlus option in the watch before launching the activity ? This seems to solve synch issue on my side (iOS and watch firmware 2.43.12). But the older activities done with HR zone SuuntoPlus selected are still blocked (I deleted them to clean Sync Problem pop up in the IPhone App)

@Egika I criticized it at first but I started to like it. It looks good with casual clothes. I guess the AM PM distinction in “Stride” has not been corrected. It’s not that important.
