I ski regularly at -10 to -20 degrees with the watch staying on my jacket without any issues. Yesterday I also washed it in a washing machine by accident. Still running strong. The hardware on Suunto watches is so much better than software!

@OutdoorMan Thank You. I got only one strap, and it worked since I bought Race2 when it’s aired. Never had a problem until this week. Also havent seen any update last time so I wasn’t sure I somehow triggered bug myself or sensor is broken. Good to know.

Hello Everyone! I noticed that in the last three days something is not working properly about sleep monitoring for my S9PP. It seems that the watch could not give a right report, but the app shows more correct data. I did a soft reset this morning but the data are still uncorrect on the watch. I will wait for coming night to check if the issue is still there. Anyone have the same issue there? Any idea? Thank you!

@Stavrogin Gotcha. I was just making an easy joke. And I really do think that answer makes total sense, but I know almost nothing about the inner workings of these things. It’s interesting that some users are experiencing total BT disconnections midway through activities. I’ve only experienced quick disconnects, usually only lasting a second or two. But it’s still really annoying to get those connection notification vibrations throughout an activity. My big issue remains the inability of the software to correctly connect to whichever external HR sensor I’m trying to use (I alternate between two). One solution I use it to unpair and then newly re-pair the sensor right before using it. And, as you suggested, this usually results in a good BT connection throughout the activity. So there’s that. Here’s to hoping the Q4/Q1 update(s) will bring BT connection progress!

After 17 walking activities with SV2, some on flat terrain and some on hilly terrain I got 1st V02max today. It was a brisk walk on flat terrain in zone 1 with good GPS and OHR. Great way to finish this year.

I had the problem again (first time in two weeks). It is possible that occurred because I had two alpine skiing activities consecutively (one of those by mistake, but it does not matter). @Egika I sent the logs to Suunto from the SA. Please let me know what I need to do for you to be able to see (find) them. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to send them right away (about 1.5 h after the end of the activity), but I hope that the problem is included.

@Valentin-Schulz You could wait for an update that should be soon but this should not be happening. I would try a hard reset but that seems to be what has happened. Try a hard reset and if still an issue it might be faulty hardware and will be replaced.

@sky-runner your first point even weight more if you don’t turn a map in the size of the screen, but a map that is larger than the screen, as the centre point of this “disc” is off-centre of the watch screen… IIRC Garmin just uses the RAM of the SoC and Suunto use the same SoC (at least in the Race and Race S) with additional RAM. From my memory it is 11 MB, but that doesn’t really changes the whole situation…

@safari sorry, not you have to do the maths, but Suunto should give the option m/s OR km/h (this option could be set one the phone) and then it is just Math

I’m missing native integration with my Concept2/PM5 rower so I can use the rowing activity profile and get precise metrics.

@thanasis I also had the explorer strap on my 9B. Fantastic strap which lasts for ever! I still have it and should try and fit the narrower pins from the V2.

@Mads-Hintz-Madsen Yes that’s it, thanks a lot! I thought it worked just like my Garmin HRM Dual, which can broadcast its signal to both the Wahoo and the Suunto Race at the same time, but that’s not the case here. I’ll just use the Wahoo for my indoor sessions and then upload the fit file to the Suunto app afterwards. Thanks again and happy holidays!

@sky-runner Max HR is irrelevant, lactate threshold is. And as Max HR doesn’t change, but thresholds are, your statement is correct… https://www.suunto.com/de-de/sports/News-Articles-container-page/Figure-out-your-training-zones-and-supercharge-your-fitness/ Zone 5: Above your anaerobic threshold. Zone 5 ends at your max heart rate Zone 4: 94–99 % of your anaerobic threshold. The upper limit of zone 4 is your anaerobic threshold Zone 3: 89-93 % of your anaerobic threshold Zone 2: 83-88 % of your anaerobic threshold. The upper limit of zone 2 is your aerobic threshold Zone 1: <82 % of your anaerobic threshold. Zone 1 starts at your resting heart rate.
