Suunto Run stops recording mid-activity

I’ve had my Suunto Run for around 2 months. During a run yesterday the recording effectively cut out, stopped measuring and marked the activity as finished. I didn’t check until my run was actually finished, so I didn’t realise at the time. This is the second time this has now happened. Both times have been on a similar stage of a similar route. It feels to me like it might be losing GPS connection and then stopping, as it is in a bit of a dip. That doesn’t seem like good behaviour though. I previously had a Suunto 5 and ran in the same place probably 100’s of times without an issue.
Any ideas on what could be causing this?
