@safari said in What do you think of the Suunto Spark?: @raven These types of headphones aren’t very useful for people like me who wear glasses. I also use Jabra Elite 7 Pro. But the problem is that Jabra has withdrawn from this type of headphone market. So if it breaks, it’s impossible for me to find a replacement. I don’t find these bone conduction headphones very useful. I wear glasses and the Bose Ultra Open work well for me.

Thanks for the update. Another huge step forward. First run after the update and suddenly there is no HR reading. I’m using the Suunto belt. Pausing the activity for a few seconds, like it has been described in the weeks before the update, did recover the HR reading, though.

@EzioAuditore I am not aware, that anything has been changed in the distance measurement with the recent update. And I have also seen the Race 2 measuring less than Vertical 2. Just I have not made a bug from this, as I am not sure, it is one. A slightly less distance does not affect me in a negative way. Plus it is not clear, if less is actually wrong…

@Sportsfreund said in Suunto and Concept 2 indoor rowing: Good work, guy. But really, there’s no need for a connection like this. The PM5 needs to be connected to a smartphone to plan and upload races. What we need is a connection from C2 to Suunto to actually use the load values in CTL/ATL, etc. A connection from the C2 logbook to import into Suunto seems not within the scope of what is possible with a SuuntoPlus app, but rather, that ability would need to come from a collaboration of Concept2/Suunto themselves. If Suunto wishes to do that, then perhaps they can also talk to SmartRow so sessions from the SR logbook could also auto-upload to Suunto? http://www.smartrow.fit/ This setup would be for people not currently using the PM5 bluetooth connection to send data elsewhere like ErgData or EXR, etc. People on alternate rowers like the RP3 or the SmartRow system I use may one day benefit from the work here if it extends beyond the Concept2. I have two data connections from my power meter, so one can go to my SmartRow app and another could go to a connection like this. Perhaps eventually C2 will update the PM5 to allow dual bluetooth signals as many cycling power meters have.

@aiv4r said in Is there still demand for a modern MIP endurance watch?: @Brad_Olwin yes I am aware and I started to use it also, but I ment in the app after the run is uploaded. Agreed, for me I use S+ TrainingPeaks Run and you will have NGP in the app after the run, this will allow NGP to show in the lap table.

@snow said in New firmware 2.53.42: You need to start the activity Ah! Yes… That works. This was incredibly convoluted… Thanks. Hope my bumbling around will help other users. Edit: Everybody is talking about the Menu only accessible from the Map screen itself (the 3 lines/hamburger icon). Edit 2: And it works even without any Route loaded. Great!

I have now new informations from the support: At the moment, we are very sorry to inform you that only Points of Interest (POIs) can be set. This means you can mark locations, but the GPX route import and direct route guidance on the watch is not currently supported.

@keiserza said in Vector Classic with added Date: @Stefano-M64 The watch face does not display the date no, just battery percentage, but when you scroll up with the crown the first widget should be battery percentage with the date in small print below that. you are talking about the Control Panel, which I removed since it’s accessible via the lower button… yes, it shows the date too, even if small, however between battery and date I would prefer to have the second one directly on the wf

@aiv4r I agree, although I also use the Suunto Run for trail running. The point is, in my humble opinion, that when you open the Suunto Plus apps the game changes, it opens up many more possibilities for road and trail running. We’ll see

@freeheeler said in Recovery: watch and SA differ: @emkei me too… but I found a workaround: in movescount suunto promoted the phone as an extended watch display: that’s what I do. I use the watch mainly to track and record and look at the data in the app only. which data is correct? I don’t know. but it is where I see a long term trend. and I don’t want to worry Yes, this is probably the only way - but still awkward as Suunto is the only company I know having this issue. Unfortunately, this was not the only reason I left - there were differences between watch, iOS app and iPadOS in: steps TSS Recovery Resources HRV And sleep tracking was really off (especially if ready at bed, or working at a standing desk) The thread: Recovery watch & App

@Manuel-Extreme This is shocking to know as it might be a complete deal-breaker for everyone doing triathlons! Usually I connect my HRM before swimming to have it automatically reconnect afterwards for biking and running. But if it does not get any connection while swimming at all (happens quite often to me) it might not automatically reconnect afterwards and leave you without any HR data for the complete race!
