@Dieter1960 is it iOS you are using with Apple Health? maybe other devide saves data into Apple Health and then Suunto takes those data out from there?

@Doron-G I have a few of these but they are gone from Suunto store. I would try to check Suunto outlets/dealers.

New branch of software is a bad idea. Same problem as with firmware - less frequent updates due to complexity. I see no issues using Ocean both for diving and other activities and all logged in a single app. Besides, lots of features like maps, notifications are universal to activities so having two separate apps would be worse than frequently updated one.

Morning report appears reliably, but I can’t find the setting to disable it.;o) Btw I am getting error 503 quite often. The same here. Cheers

I have bought used Race for test, but still in warranty. Battery life was much lower, according to spec’s. With everything off, it took 6% per day on a shelf. So I returned it, they changed whole watch and after that, with everything off, same scenario, there was still about 15% left after two months! Now my college has bought it from me. I’m extremely satisfied with V2 battery life and supposed it will be very good with Race too. I will never go back to buggy Garmin.

@mdavis121212 What is more important is what you are training for? Is there a goal you want to accomplish? To increase TSS I would not think is a goal.

I would like to see a sum of descents (total vertical) on weekly, monthly, and yearly summary. So far, I can only see the distance, which in downhill skiing is pretty irrelevant

Still crashing: this app doesn’t like when I follow a route I have created. It struggles a bit to lock my position on the route. On this example my real position (red) and my route (blue): app is stuck 383 m from my real position (blue dots) because there was a small detour and it can’t process it. @martintrail My Vertical behaves slightly differently. It correctly detects naps, sleep onset, and wake-up time. However, it doesn’t seem to capture the many times I get up, sit on the bed, move from the bed to the couch, etc. When compared with Whoop and Garmin, the Vertical tends to smooth out those awake moments and classify them as “light sleep.”

Since nobody answered this, perhaps I can answer some of my questions myself. Overall, Vertical Running profile seems nearly identical to Trail running, except for data screens. When it is synced to Strava it shows in Strava as trail running When running, the laps data screen shows power for mile splits. At the end of each lap the summary shows horizontal speed in miles per hour rather than vertical speed, which is odd and inconsistent. Also, why is it speed rather than pace? VO2max does get estimated the same way as during running This profile is supposed to focus on vertical speed, but I found it to be super unstable and difficult to read. Even at a very gentle uphill, at nearly walking speed the vertical speed exceeds 1000 ft/hour, so 4 digits, and becomes difficult to comprehend because it keeps changing every second +/- 200 ft/hour even when moving steady or just standing in one place, so the last two digits are just random noise.

@mitchellrishe get the latest firmware from 13/02 it will fix this issue.
