I am also having same issue with my earbuds. Earbuds works with the phone perfectly but with Suunto Run it disconnects. Sometimes I can manage whole 10k run without any disconnects but sometimes earbuds disconnects like every 5 minutes. Not tried to pair any other headphones yet.

@Mff73 said in changing route on the fly during navigation: Routes are synced directly (sometimes without any pop-up) This time I paid much more attention and as soon as I enabled the new routes, a quick sync message appeared. That said, great feature! Thanks!

@thanasis no full idea of Suunto’s plans, but Run is definitely this: A stripped down version of their adventure watches. Smaller price - less features. At the same time some nice gimmicks made it into this new development.

@GiPFELKiND it’s sampled every 10 min or so, definitely a trade-off for consumption. However, I wish there was an option to keep it on all the time…

@Egika Says the person using an Avatar picture with a bike But seriously, you won’t find any running instructor talking about Cadence in the RPM sense. Even Suunto with this Run watch has implemented a metronome with a Cadence advice of: https://www.suunto.com/sports/News-Articles-container-page/run-with-the-new-suunto-run-gps-watch/ “Metronome Cadence – the number of steps you take per minute – is a great indicator of efficient running form. Use Suunto Run’s metronome to maintain your target step frequency. A cadence of around 180 steps per minute is commonly recommended.” I myself would say ‘try to keep it above 170 to minimise heavy pounding steps’.

@6iovanni A watch primarily for running and I doubt this will happen. I imagine the included profiles were a deliberated decision.

@ROBMONTGOMERY how do you know? Do you already have the watch? If yes, you can update your firmware and this will be changed.

@Egika That’s why I surmised in my initial post that DCR must’ve had a foundation with it via his experience with Garmin. Unfortunately, Suunto didn’t detail how this feature works, and I couldn’t find a calibration explaination in the user manual (perhaps I missed it?). I haven’t used a Garmin regualrly in about four years, and even when I was with that brand, I never ran on a track. So as I test it further, I want to be sure to explain any functionalities that don’t seem intuitive to the end users.
