Split time when swimming in the pool
-
When I use the Suunto Run to swim in the pool the total length of the session is correctly measured but I cannot analyze the training because I’m not able to see the the time for each length. The app only reports the time per 1000m.
Is there a way to see the time per length (50m in my case)?

@Pobyms known Suunto Run limitation for pool swimming, not sure if this will come.

@herlas Ok, I thought I was doing something wrong. It’s a pity. The watch calculates the distance correctly, it means that it has all the information needed to show this info. My (very) old Garmin Swim and my Suunto ambit 3 were able to show this info 10 years ago (or even more).

@Pobyms I think the Run isn’t designed for that. The distance is never really right for me. I guess I’m not turning cleanly enough.
But I thought I saw the time in mm:ss/100m on my watch. Now I looked at the log again, but I don’t see it there. But in the app, it says, for example, average pace 02:50/100m. It always seems to be 100 meters, regardless of whether the track is 25 or 50 meters. It’s just the pace. You can’t use laps either, so you can press the button and the number is recorded, but it’s not displayed anywhere

@Yves_ Yes, the average time per 100m is shown in the app but sometimes I swim 400m crawl, 400m drills, … for example and I would like to be able to check the split time because there is a huge difference for each training block. Even the possibility to press the button is not very useful because when I start the training in the pool the watch goes into lock mode and I must press the two buttons during 2-3 seconds to unlock it.
For me the watch calculates well the distance (unless when I train using the kickboard, but this is normal).

I always unlock the key lock right at the start, if only so I can press pause. I don’t see the point in the key lock; it’s enough for me if the touchscreen is locked.
But the lap button doesn’t do anything anyway. The only workaround seems to be to start a new activity for each training block.
