@neilme I wasn’t referring to customizing the default structured workout screen, that’s not possible in any Suunto as you said, but I was saying that only on Suunto Run you cannot add your own screens to the structured workout. On all other Suunto watches, while you cannot customize the Suunto Guide screen, you can add your own screens along side, this isn’t the case for Suunto Run. Interval pace, interval distance on Suunto Run are useless right now, you won’t see them during a structured workout because on Suunto Run as I said before, you cannot add your own screens, so you’re left with a few screens Suunto makes available during structure workouts and that’s it.

@Hari-Seldon Thanks, but I have no way to enter numbers as the watch screen is locked and only goes as far as showing the QR code as part of initial startup.

@OutdoorMan said in Discovery option: a question: I have it off on the watch and have no issues with the app Gosh, no one here (7 people) can get it to work That said not an issue that prevents using the watch…

@Jervin-Reyes I find myself recharging it about every 3-6 days depending on use (I use almost all). That said, I see a depletion of ~5-6%/h during activity with GPS always in performance mode (I also use navigation) and almost the same (per day) when I use it only as a watch (I use DND all the way except when I’m running).

@Gilles-Maiol-Vendranas-Rullier I was in the same loop just last week with my 9 Peak Pro. Really frustrating! What helped in my case is that I removed all paired BT devices/sensors from the watch and restarted and repaired the watch with the phone. Coincidentally or not, it started happening right after I enabled dual-BLE on my HR strap. After the actions taken above it works again, sort of. The weather doesn’t get updated automatically like it used to and “find my phone” function fell off too. No idea why Suunto is doing this to us. Time to figure it out.

@Jervin-Reyes have you check in notifications? You might have missed it but it might be visible from there.

@owend I sometimes take pauses though I never paid attention to their duration and so far I have never had this issue (only connected a HR belt though)

This morning, as soon as I woke up, I synced the watch and activated PS. After a couple of hours, I disabled it and synced again: [image: 1760771064544-signal-2025-10-18-090113_002.png] So, unless I’ve missed something, there was no HR activity during those two hours, and that’s the behavior I expect from PS. I’m not saying you’re wrong, of course, so it’s best to ask @herlas why there are two different results.

@Yves_ @Pobyms I found out that the poll swimming data fields “Current lap: swimming distance (Manual)” and “Current lap: duration (Manual)” are responsive to the bottom button. This is, when I push it those counters reset, which allows to start a new interval freshly (I guess that Suunto calls intervals “laps” ?). But, I have the same problem as reported here: the specs on the product page of the Suunto Run for Swimming advertise that the Suunto Run should detect swim strokes, swim style, pauses and breakdown a pool swim into multiple intervals if there are pauses in between. Mine does none of these… Here is a pool swim I just did a couple hours ago, where I swam 5x 50m, 3x 300m and finally 1x 1000m, all crawl with long glides after pushing from the wall. Notice as there is no breakdown into intervals whatsoever, no swim style detection and the last column (stroke average) is empty: [image: 1760447843783-img_3747.jpeg] I’m not sure why another user here (@herlas) mentions above that this is a known issue and unsure “if this will come”, considering the product page advertises the watch as capable and supposed to do exactly these things … this is a deal breaker for me, as I expect to be swimming as much as running. But, I still have not found any clarity regarding these features: is the Suunto Run supposed to give metrics for pool swimming or not ? (just like any Garmin watch would…)

@Miroslava yeah this option isn’t there for the Run, you can’t disable OHR per exercise mode. @Mi_chael it sounds like it’s per design based on the post below - if you have a hr strap paired, that takes precedence and data from that will be reflected in the activity stats even though OHR appears to also be recording. https://forum.suunto.com/post/171418

@LGoSo nice, then I got you now! Yeah, you are absolutely right and good observation! Yes, if they would correct for that systemic error, they would get less average absolute deviation while also having more consistency. Therefore, they would need to say that measuring the HRmax with their all-out test and then estimating the T2 by x% of measured HRmax, outperforms ZS/DDFA! That’s why they probably did not try to optimize it and just discussed that it is ok to take the 85% of HRmax, as that is what is always used. Maybe with their test somewhere around 88% or 90% would be really accurate. That’s really disappointing…
