@Jamie-BG said in Always on display and swimming: @masi0 not sure as haven’t had a chance to swim yet since sept update. Based on info suunto provided touch screen is supposed to be locked when you are in swim mode and on data screen, so suspect the three right buttons, top to start, pause, centre to lock change screen, bottom to set manual lap, end session, long press to get to options, then top and bottom to scroll in options menu and middle to select. Works like that for rest of activities. This

@brad_olwin There was a malfunction while using the treadmill, airplane mode and after 20 minutes the watch reset. After starting, the record was saved.

@loryland said in What the meaning of Ascent & Descent data?: @sartoric If I`m the only user which have this problem, so my watch is working bad. Maybe the majority of Suunto clients don’t care about this data issue. So Suunto is a good brand and Suunto Software is the best. Well maybe your watch is defective, who knows. Please contact support so they can help you. I’m closing this discussion as there are several other threads about similar baro issues (and suggestions)

@aeroild said in What is the length of Suunto 7's watch straps?: @pentel Here’s the size of the black/lime green strap. [image: 1620118829761-img_20210504_105012-resized.jpg] @aeroild The photo definitely helps. My watch measured 23cm, this watch is 26cm. Fortunately, @дима-мельниченко said at the tightest setting the strap does not go over the watch face. So I am going ahead to buy the watch.

@harboe sorry - should have qualified that it is open to everyone with a 3100/4100+ chip. Initially I thought it was something that suunto had incorporated into the watch in the system update - however as Moto can also do it, it must be wear os integrated. Its just a pity that no one else is using it, including watch face makers.

@egika not suprised with GFit doing that, which is why I removed my profile from GFit on the watch, as it seems to be populating step and calorie detail on actions and activity, and by removing your profile/account from GFit on the watch it stops that (and the phantom goal acheive notifications). Can still see all your suunto data in the GFit app on the phone, if you really want to, but not much point as the suunto app exceeds the GFit app in virtually every way.

@Jamie-BG I don’t think, that Garmins Training assessment is completely wrong, but the problem for me is that Garmin is not tracking my sleep correctly and this „kills“ Training Readiness most of the times for me. All other values are in a good range (Load, HRV, Recovery …). Garmin often sees me awake for hours, when I am soundly sleeping and often tracks only some minutes of deep sleep. If I would sleep like this, I would be in a very problematic physical condition. I tested this with many devices again and again (wearing the Fenix 7 and other new Garmin devices together with an Oura ring, a Polar Vantage, Suuntos and a Amazfit Watch (sometimes wearing four devices, one on my ankle ) and they all showed me sleeping, when Garmin sees me awake. I found Oura for me to be most consistent with how I feel that I slept and correlates best with sleep and awake times.

@Tomas-Fejfar I can now confirm that after using my S7 for 2 years with location from phone and watch always enabled, the last three have been an eye opener. Since disabling this feature as well as Auto WiFi, the S7 battery now is insanely good with HR monitoring, body resources, sleep tracking on & power save tilt to wake on. Using Suunto Finland watch face. The watch is constantly connected to WearOs via Bluetooth. Samsung S22 I unplugged the S7 at around 9am today and the battery is still holding above 80% in smart mode. To be fair not many notifications today all, but still remarkable result. @egika I found that when I did my update there is a place in the process where it seems to get stuck. A reboot and ensuring that wifi is on (bluetooth off) and not connected to the phone definitely seemed to help it push through. Sort of feels like it is maybe pulling in data or something. Watch seems to be ruuning, but when you look at notifications it tells you that you are still installing. pressing on the notificatin brings up install bar - mine was struggling around the dots. Also found that I had to reaccept a lot of data and connections. Which sort of makes sense based on the number of changes. Had to also reconnect to the suunto app (under settings).

@guy85 said in Connexion Bluetooth impossible ?: J’aimerais bien créer un cadrans à mon idée, mais… Comment créer des cadrans de montre, il faut être informaticien ? Load an install Puji/Watchmaker/Facer and then do it from there. Or you can go onto the Facer website and create the watchface there. Only issue is I don’t believe these are the most economical watch faces from battery life perspective. For that you need to use the android sda webkit (not sure how easy it is using this kit). Fortunately Android provide some rather detailed (looks it but may not be as haven’t tried to use them): https://developer.android.com/codelabs/watchface#0

@flypg I think it runs off your set sleep times to a degree. As if you wake prior to the end time, but then fall asleep after the end time, it will generally not record that sleep - it will instead give your resources a boost i.e. count it as a nap. The Garmins have had a recent update which included a host of firstbeat algorithm updates and it sounds like some reckon they are now seeing naps included into sleep (I hope that isn’t true and or is more a function of how they set their sleep times). # Personally I do not want naps included as sleep and do not think they should be, as they will often not properly include deep sleep and I like to track my estimated deep sleep to total sleep duration percentage (essential for my general well being and to control my chronic fatigue issues).
