@r-s-0 I would prefer no colors on the information watch face, black screen with colored text if possible. The background colors do not appeal to me but I like the watch face.

@metalmi thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, it looks like it’s not from the recorded workout (which is comparable to what I would expect). The watch just had extra calories for the day itself and I don’t see how I can edit that.

@aleksander-h said in Sunto app on galaxy watch: @olymay said in Sunto app on galaxy watch: I love Android on phones, but on tablets it just needs to die I’m actually quite hopeful that Google’s renewed interest in tablets will lead to better experiences . Really like the Tab S8+, although can’t justify it’s price at the moment. If it ran ChromeOS then the price would be almost palatable. Almost. Android could run well on tablets (Apple make it work with iOS) but Google doesn’t seem interested. Even this recent renewed interest probably won’t be enough to save the market. However, some good quality hybrid devices running ChromeOS and able to run Android apps, now you’re talking!!

@kajkom Have you restarted the watch? That usually solves any connection or slow response issues.

@olymay As I wrote, my experience was totally diffenent. But that’s no problem for me any more. I was able to send the faulty suunto 7 back to amazon and got a refund. At the moment I am a really happy garmin user

@brad_olwin - map usage - depends on the model - on the MIP screens it really isn’t that bad, and on the Epix I estimate it around +15hrs of continuous tracking with map (as long as not using dual-band GPS) - that is with AOD and heavy map usage. Based on around 10% for 85min hike. Most of time was on map (new area to me) with a bit of climbpro screen in between. Occasionally just on data tracking screen.

@hinnerki - some other here would probably have to advise, but personally I would say from my experience no it wouldn’t work as ideally you need to wear these 24/7 and while Suunto’s eco system isn’t quite as tight and as integrated as Garmin’s you do miss out on the health side by not doing this. Technically I suppose you might be able to set up 4 suunto accounts and then maybe manually import the tracks in (not sure if suunto would allow one watch to 4 accounts). Alternatively you could use a 3rd party training analysis app and export the individual tracks to the appropriate accounts - probably your best way of doing this. Have you though of looking at ebay to pick up a second hand one - they don’t go for that much, and you could possibly get 1-3 for the price of a new one.

@g-q I still love my S7, it does most of what I need it do. My worry is that Suunto have dropped it and as such issue like this will never get resolved (admittedly it doesn’t happen often, but it’s too frequently). I really hope there is a replacement to the S7 coming. As it won’t last forever will need to be replaced, there isn’t really anything else like it out there.

@kajkom If you tap on the X when the timer comes up then it will close that instance and stop it repeating every three hours (at least this is what happened for me). You can trigger the three hour reminder again by simply running the timer through to completion. As that link states, it’s part of WearOS and can’t be removed. But you can stop it nudging you every three hours.

@olymay Thanks a lot for the power save tilt tip. For some reason I missed this option when I initially set up my watch (maybe because you first have to uncheck the other option.) I also changed the display brightness from medium to low as I don’t see a big difference, at least in the winter. This increased the battery life from ~36h to ~48h average, some days even more. That makes a huge difference for me. I can forget to charge the watch some day and still get 2 nights of sleep recording. Or I can go on a trip for a day without the need of carrying my charging cable. I have several third party apps and get a good amount of notifications, have 24h hr tracking and sleep tracking on. So I’m pretty happy now with this value. Needless to say I don’t get this value with outdoor activity, but with 1-1,5 hours of indoor sports I still nearly get 2 days. Obviously there is really a lot of movement throughout the day that activates the display without actively looking at the watch.
