@illetyus Don’t want newer chip until it makes sense. The 4100 chip isn’t right, as it has no co-processor which is essential for the S7 to be able to do what it can. As it is, the TWP3 has come out far too early. Most of the guys I speak to who own one all reckon it feels more like Beta software - while liveable, workable and very usable there are issues and flaws and quite a lot to still iron out (they have a bug fix coming out to sort out some pretty major issues). So I am prepared to wait a year / 18 months for the 4100+ to come out, be tested and for suunto to get its stuff working on it properly first. Would be nice with 2GB ram and 16GB of storage, but storage level isn’t essential as only point really is for music - would rather suunto work on spotify to get us offline spotify or google to get us offline youtube music - makes far more sense. SPo2 sensor - why - not much point consider nothing to do with it. Would rather Suunto spent time and effort on suunto app to keep its great analytics, but also to add a health platform so that it is much more competative compared to what Garmin provides. Would also rather they focus on providing external bluetooth sensor options through the suunto app - far more useful. SPo2 is only useful if you are serious about your training, and considering the S7 isn’t a training watch - fail to see the point. If you want that there are other better options - see the S7 more of a casual/semi-serious fitness rather than serious training. PS- based on what TWP3 provides with 4100 chip, the additional battery life isn’t game changing when you consider it has a 25% larger battery and LCD screen, which is instrumental in providing more battery life (will be interested to see if any increase once on H MR2 firmware).

@pilleus With the app “Instruments for Wear OS” it works: S7 screen 03.png Sunrise/sunset doesn’t work with data from Google Watch. Even if the sunnto app has the exact GPS position. THX for replies

@Adrián-Vinardell try to press hard on the screen (squeeze) while you are on elevation chart screen, select for eg. hiking as activity profile, do you see variations on push/release?

Hi, could you upload a picture of your damages? I would like to see how are getting older our suuntos and what to expect after some time, since mine has only two months and just have a minor scratch in the bezel due to an “enconter” with a streetlight.

@Pete-Nevard the gpx from geocaching is a list of 1 or more discrete positions. Suunto App reads tracks (optionally with embedded waypoints). I would look out for other apps to do this - the built in Suunto App is for activity tracking. Have a look here or similar: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.VirtualMaze.gpsutils Search for geocaching in the play store and filter by device

@Gareth-Stockdale - If the suunto app is active and on the screen, then long press the central button to lock the buttons (will also lock the touch screen). you can still use the central button short press to change screen to any other additional tracking screens you have. If for some reason you are running the app in the background and you want to prevent this, lock your touch screen (settings - display - and scroll down to touch lock, press it, then press OK). You screen will revert to the ambient mode of your watch face, and you will need to hold down the menu button until is says unlocked to unlock your touch screen.

@masi0 - for a workout, you can pause and resume a workout. I should say I use this on my phone for weights workouts. If you have installed it on your S7, then you can also pause, re-start from the watch. . As far as I know, the Sportstracker app and Suunto App share the same data at the back. Hence, if Strava is set-up in the Suunto app, then it will push to Strava when you do a workout in Sportstracker. The WearOS Sposrtstracker is not really comparable to the Suunto App on the S7.

@Jamie-BG said in Always on display and swimming: @masi0 not sure as haven’t had a chance to swim yet since sept update. Based on info suunto provided touch screen is supposed to be locked when you are in swim mode and on data screen, so suspect the three right buttons, top to start, pause, centre to lock change screen, bottom to set manual lap, end session, long press to get to options, then top and bottom to scroll in options menu and middle to select. Works like that for rest of activities. This

Is it possible for 3rd party apps to take advantage of this setting? Is there anything stopping other 3100/4100 watches from setting up a similar function - could we see wear os bring this out as a standard setting?

@Michael-Zendel - probably due to nest updates, as I get whatsapp photos in notifications without any issues, suggesting that it isn’t wear os restricting it.

@masi0 if you are within an app, the buttons do whatever the app tells them to do. In normal watch mode, you can configure what buttons do. Edit: I now understand that you want a music field during activity, I did not understand that previously.

@crupp, connect google fit, turn off the aut-recording and then just ignore google fit on the watch, and use the suunto tiles and app on your watch (I wouldn’t disable google fit as it controls the HR monitor and if you want to connect external bluetooth trackers you would need it). If you want to track health you will also need Google Fit, as the Suunto app (on the phone and watch) only provides activity detail (much better than google fit), step & calorie count. There is also a sleep tab which we currently don’t get, even if you use a 3rd party app. So to get a holistic health picture at the moment you have to use google fit (which they are slowly updating), to show weight, blood pressure, steps, calories, sleep etc all together. Fortunately it is a set up and forget as the suunto app will seamlessly sync the data between the two for steps and calarioes and any activity you done. If you perform any standalone HR readings these will also show up in google fit (no graph in suunto app - only as part of tracking).
