@Jamie-BG touch lock seems to work exactly like what I was after! When I saw it in the menu earlier I didn’t think it would affect the physical buttons. Thanks

@egika said in Suunto 7 Buzzer: @Andrea-Antonio-Guadalupi it is well used. You can enable sound in the Suunto Wear App so it beeps when starting or ending an activity as well as when pausing or at auto laps. And for alarms, timers, Tabata routines from 3rd party apps to add a few more

@brunoh Weird, sounds like a faulty device or sensor blocked by dust/sweat or something?? Mine has been absolutely spot-on, I did check a few early doors against GPS correction of elevation data on Strava but the differences were so tiny as to be irrelevant.

@g287-sf Je viens de la retrouver, elle était dans une pile de linge. Même avec le Bluetooth à coté, elle ne se connecte pas ou très difficilement. Bref, je l’ai retrouvé, c’est le principal. Merci quand même de ton aide…

@kai-liu You can sync a fit file that you have fixed from Quantified Self back to SA or using RunGap for iOS or SyncMyTracks on Android (don’t have this phone so not sure and others can correct me).

@trinitao Test this on a walk near your home first and make sure it is working properly.

This is a old thread that I posted for S9B and because all 3rd party altimeters apps that I tested are not reliable or drain a lot my battery, I pump it this thread for two motives: 1)- Would be great if Suunto add a new Tile for S7 with altimeter, etc like the new additions that are VERY COOL. 2)- On this altimeter would be perfect have the Alt1 + Alti2, very useful Thanks!

@dimitrios-kanellopoulos I think a more detailed test needs to be done. My S7 was on my right wrist and his 645 was on his left. It also likely does not help that both watches were not on one persons arm. The trail is very narrow single track so we were likely on the trail within a foot of each other. This trail is nearly all in the woods and goes along a ridgeline that is likely a worst case GPS condition. The biggest surprise at the end of the ride was the 10% difference in distance.

@saq10is - remove your profile form the GFit app, as you don’t get any benefit from using it (unless there is a specific reason you want it…) Since Sept 20 update to GFit where they changed how the sync works - data is often delayed and or never populates the GFit app, plus with recent API changes some data like HR will not now sync. GFit also now seems to recalculate steps and calories. So unless you have some specific need of GFit that the suunto app doesn’t already cover, would suggest removing profile to solve any GFit issues by not using it. PS - daily details missing on Suunto app - assume that you could see those details on your watches today widget i.e. it is actually recording steps?

@kkalsi you will get no added benefit from using suunto app for weight lifting (other than battery life) as all it does is duration & HR. So try other options out there that do provide a HR belt. You may have to use a sync app to get the detail back into suunto app if it doesn’t autotmatically sync into GFit or Suunto.

@flypg Today again my S7 displays: “Today - No sleep tracked” But this time, after few hours when I connected to the mobile and sync, the sleep information appeared. It’s strange, because each some days/weeks this behavior happen… The previous ones without recording any information.

@grillo54 had that happen - sometimes it just doesn’t fix the start altitude. You will probably find that actual ascent and descent is correct (which sounds like it was based on your original post). You would need to speak to suunto as to why it does that, as I don’t know. Tried numerous combinations, couldn’t get anything to actively trigger the issue and or to fix the issue when it occurred - sometimes it corrected itself sometimes it didn’t. Checking alt before starting, I could sometimes catch and fix it by stopping activity, discarding it, starting up activity again and waiting for fix and a bit longer - sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn’t. As I said starting the activity while still connected to a phone did seem to reduce the occurance when this was happening. Personally I think it may be due to how its pulling the GPS data, and then aligning it to DEM maps? But don’t know enough about the inner workings. Altitude issues aren’t unusual - loads of posts about this on all different watches etc. For example I found my F6 was doubling ascent & descent, so changed some settings - and hey presto all sorted and now matches based on other watches and based on topo & DEM maps.
