Viewranger to Suunto

Evening all,
I found a route on Viewranger that I’m interested in doing but of course as I did not create it I am unable to download as a GPX file. To follow the route I would either have to use my phone or download the Viewranger app on my watch but what I want to know is this. If I use the Viewranger app on my watch to follow the route, am I also able to have an activity running to track my data etc or can I only use one of them at a time?
If it’s a case that only one can be used would anyone know of a way that I can get this route of Viewranger into something else to convert to a GPX without me having to create the route myself?

@Pete-Nevard you can use both apps, one active and the other in the background. You can switch between the apps as often as you want.

Why not? Do Viewranger routes not download as GPX any more? Even if you register?
a way that I can get this route of Viewranger into something else to convert to a GPX
If you can download it as something now proprietary to VR, can you not then export it as GPX from that phone app?

For usage of a second app at the same time as Suunto wear app is running I would map the second app to one of the buttons which can be personalised. Then the toggling between the apps is no problem.

Awesome, that’s good to know thanks! So I can start my activity in the Suunto app then come out and open Viewranger

@Fenr1r I don’t know, I am registered (although not a paying member) but it doesn’t give me the option to download as a GPX or anything, I can only save the route in my profile
