@Jamie-BG @RussellllR Thanks for the suggestions! I guess I’d started a bad habit of using the upper left button instead of swiping right like I used to do.

@Jamie-BG be careful. Those Sync-Apps are basically syncing into SportsTracker. And while it’s sharing the database with the Suunto App, I found that some data is missing when importing this way.

@rain-purple Probably not a very legit solution, I assume?

@Brad_Olwin why doesn’t this happen in my S7? I can only turn it back on if I conclude the procedure I described earlier. So does this mean that our S7, although updated to the latest firmware, are not all the same? I begin to understand little with this watch

@andreas7 if you are looking for an app that advises you that you are disconnected there is one in the play store (old and not recently update but I believe it still works) If you are asking how to reconnect Brad provided some good suggestions, however have tended to find its my phone that is the issue. On phone long pressing Bluetooth icon in notification/settings bar (or go via settings) I find it shows my watch isn’t connected. I go into the paired but not connected section and click on my Suunto. This takes you into Bluetooth settings for the watch. Clicking on connect button works. If that fails open wear os app on phone, disconnect and then connect again, if necessary also switch watch Bluetooth on and off, if still struggling also try connecting suunto app on phone.

@aeroild said in Sleep tracking: good sleep tracking app for Wear OS Ticwatch has a sleep tracking app. Fossil got an update this week with a sleep tracking app. Both are integrated very well in WearOS and Google Fit. Suunto should be able to do it too.

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos - would be good if they changed that so that it did. Makes far more sense, as you can switch that off if you don’t want it before starting an activity or during it. And at least this way you are notified when in background.

@aeroild said in Google Pay: @Metalmi I just had to try the VPN workaround on my Suunto 7. So I installed Tunnelbear VPN on my phone and chose to connect to the Switzerland server. Turned off WiFi on watch and restarted it. Activated the Google Pay app on my watch, went through the required steps in Google Pay on my phone, which included confirming my Visa-card issued by a bank in Norway, where Google Pay for Android has launched but not for Wear OS. I went to the store and no problem paying with my Suunto 7 in a country where Google Pay for Wear OS has not launched! Thanks for info! This is interesting, I will definitely have to try it again then.

I know iOS limitations, but I expect a better google’s “wear iOS app” because the experience of using between android and iOS is completely different

@Egika, that is true, however in the suunto app on the watch you have the abiltiy to show these maps in their heatmap form and thus be able to run the route shown, but as Rob33 has pointed out some of the lines are really thick making it difficult to easily see the potential route especially if there are multiple lanes that are reasonably close together, requiring you to zoom in to a level that doesn’t work well from a navigation point of view. So while specific to the watch face, a valid point from the tracking side of things. @Rob33 - the only issue I can see with thin lines is how to show level of use - which I do think is very useful and a very important part of the tool. As I don’t think you can see all the heat tracking for each activity on the same map, perhaps thin lines and colour could determine level of use i.e. Red for very active, green for barely used etc…

It can be confusing, as there are at least two main updates for each watch: Wear OS - all watches should get the same one - this tends to be done via the Play store. Watch software - depends on manufacturer as to how often this is done. Your watch should be on the June 30th update (easiest way to check is if you have the new Suunto tiles). If not got into setttings, system, about (in this area you can also see all your software versions - click on versions to see them - then swipe back to go back to about), scroll down to second last option - system updates and press on it. Watch will check for latest watch update. And some like Suunto have a 3rd one - the suunto app (the app on the watch is updated in watch software, but good idea to keep phone updated too) on the phone which can be done via the play store ont the phone. Best optin is to set play store to auto update, and at least this way 1) and all your apps will be taken care of when you put your phone on the charger, plus it will be faster as wifi comes on when on charger, which is often quicker then trying to update via bluetooth connection.

I’ll give that a try @Jamie-BG . In my post here on this forum "new Suunto 7 user " you can read the reason for switching. I had worse heartrate readings, did not had continious heartrate at all, and scattered all over. Now I do have consistent heartreadings.
