@juradofco I use manual laps to record intervals and its rest times on the track , that way you have all the details after the fact in watch and Suunto app, pace is spot on when using stryd (without stryd Suunto 9 pace was usually good enough but it’s been a while since I last ran without stryd) after you run some secs on the speed/pace you’ll be lock in, for me it’s about being focused and not taking many looks at the watch while running the interval distance on the track, once on the rest period of the interval , I look at the lab table on the watch and see how I did on these last effort while being ready for the next interval.

Can someone with more knowledge tell us what is the expected sync process for daily activity (sleep/steps/…) : should it auto-update to the app and at which frequency ? I can’t find any reference to this in the watch manual, but maybe that’s considered more of an app functionality that a watch one… I use the IOS beta version of the app.

Can you guys provide me (also in private) with links to activities that have this issue (and on which it is clearly visible) that I can share with Suunto?

@Jeffrey-Tillack I’d suggest testing it out… configure the sport modes settings first also (turn auto-laps off etc), maybe use it on a commute to work or something, or just wear it for the day as a dry test. I personally like to have each day split down (so record one day of activity with best GNSS performance), then I can write a little summary of each day and have photos, like chapters of a book. But the tour mode if used properly in some long distance hike is very tempting to use…I’m just only walking 5-10km at a time

@Elipsus it’s calculated. It just doesn’t drive me mad whenever I see it VO2max estimation has been discussed on this forum many times before and I think we’ve settled the debate on that the current implementation is useful only for seeing trends (getting better or worse with time), not an actual level, and that it does go bonkers on longer walks or hikes. Hopefully something will change for the better soon with the introduction of new fitness features. You can also use runalyze to sync your workouts with it. It has its own VO2max estimation algorithm, which you can also adjust.

@aldnet any news about this ? i’m in the same case. My sensor is pretty clean, i don’t take shower with the watch. It’s starting to do this since one or two weeks. I have to set it 3 or 4 times per week if i haven’t activities.

@omunoz Had a big and nasty rain with some serious winds and temperatures drop the other week, and the storm alert did go off. But I concur: it takes more than just rain for the alert to appear. Still pretty cool… Some weather shouting from somebody other than Weather Channel.

I up this post because I too often face the issue of FusedAlti that doesn’t work, and this option will save us going on a move without being able to correct altitude. This week-end I did hike with so many altitude panels on my path, altitude on my SSU was always off and no way to calibrate during move. Thanks to quantified, here is a comparison of GPS altitude vs Altitude recorded by the watch. [image: 1563207137036-ec90d389-e090-45a4-94dc-6dd309837f7b-image.png] No fusedalti and always 55/60m offset. If some specialist can help, eventually here are SNR data recorded. enough good to expect fusedalti to work ? [image: 1563209584890-0b7e911d-cb36-4de6-bb8c-e9a44edd3d36-image.png]

[image: 1593473327626-bf10fca6-dff6-4b80-b667-d881a35b2356.jpeg] Work around is to have a 12min vo2 max run On flat road with clear sky view before activity, and hit lap and continue with you regular activity. That way FB algorithm will look for “Best performance” data and will not raise your fitness age like you are a time traveler.

@Arnd-Msr what I remember is that the altitude values for the auto-splits (5-10k) are/can be totally bogus in the app. It’s a known bug, or at least it is known on this forum.

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos @wandern had the same question (well, my wife had and I had to answer) - can’t say it was obvious that to enable tap (touch) in activity I have to set custom battery mode and option within
