@surfboomerang no I didn’t. The watch died on me. Battery went flat and after recharging it, it went flat within a few hours again. Lost case this watch.

@egika you wont see it with running as already calibrated, any gps activity either it is running or walking will calibrate acceloremeter.

I have done it after the reset (when s9b stopped responding) and on altitude of 250m it missed about +20 meters what was earlier showing (before restart). It was off more than 50 meters before auto adjust. I don’t know exact altitude in single meter so I let it auto adjust altitude. It normalized few days later, after 2 walk activities.

Well, it is not even a new feature to ask. The compass watch face is already in the watch in the navigation menu. It only has to be included in the list of watch faces you can add when creating a custom sport mode. Seems not too complicated, but I’m no software engineer.

@pacos Here you have how to activate toggle.. Is very useful. @pacos said in Backlight during a run activity: @Bulkan at this time the most practical way is setting the battery mode in customized, same as performance, but activating the touch screen… is it touch screen active consuming more battery? I always use with touchscreen on, because I don’t do events too long diary. The touch battery for me works pretty well but I live in a place where I don’t run in low temperatures.

@tfm1973 I also add that wearing on right wrist you have the baro hole in the direction of the run (left side of the swatch), thus if you start sweating is easy that he flows in the hole…

@zrumlow please keep your line of though and assumptions about what Suunto does to your self. I didn’t come at your house to say how your life works because we had a coffee. While we do listen there is also iteration planning etc. And perhaps intervals + navigation doesn’t give so much user profit. P.S. There are many forums out there to speak out any assumptions you have about people and companies. There is also twitter. For the rest , feedback ideas etc you are most welcome here .

I just got a Suunto 9 baro to play with. In the past I had s9p, and as far as I can tell the Suunto 9 peak was sluggish than this, so I believe Suunto has improved this along the firmwares. This was heavily discussed on other topics. If you want to change brand just for that I can tell you that any forerunner 45 , 245, fenix 6, 945 , etc will be much faster. But at the current state Suunto “slugginess” isn’t as anoying as it used to be. S9pp has improved also from what I’ve read Yes and no, s9pp is getting slower, and it’s gps is getting worse as well, just like my S9B/s9p Just out of curiosity (really) , if your experience is that bad , how come you still buy suunto watches ? S9B , s9p and S9pp are not that much different after all ? My s9p btw after the last firmware update is better but has definitely worse battery life , sluggish watch face (I use the one with the baro graph ) but much better sport performance Because when it’s getting slower, it’s out of return window, lol. I only use the watch for sport, so the slow UI is not an real issue for me, I only use it couple of time a week
