Brightness and contrast
-
Hello. I just switched from suunto 7 to 9baro titanium (refurbished) and noticed the huge difference in speed (my s9 is extremely slow, looks like a 56k internet modem in comparison) and in the brightness of the screen. It’s updated to latest firmware but even at the top of the brightness the screen is super dim. There is no contrast, looks like a 90s game boy console. Any lead? Like, is there maybe a battery set up I’ve put super low and that is the reason? Thanks

@giuliosq Well I’ve never used a S7 but I think that is quite normal. You can’t compare both watches in terms of speed and screen, completely different technologies.
On the other hand, you can also notice the difference in battery life.

@giuliosq try S9 peak pro for more speed and a bit better contrast.

@cosme-costa totally. That’s why I bought it. Less smart watch more sport and performance watch. I knew they were different but Im a bit surprised by the slowness and poorness of the screen quality. I guess peak pro is the super update of that

@freeheeler Thanks, all clear then… but waaaaay too expensive for not even having the maps to be readable as the 7, so I better stay with the 9 Baro

@giuliosq if Suunto will eventually bring maps to another watch next to S7, it will most definitely not be S9 or S9B because they are at their limits hardware-wise…

yes it is
@giuliosq
S9PP is more readable than S9 (than SSU, sure), but be careful/aware that S9PP is not an amoled screen like S7 has.
