@Brad_Olwin I understand - and understand you.
App-wise: my choice would be SA, too, hands down, too in comparison to the MC-App, but
Website-wise/Computer-based: my choice is still the fully functional MC-website, as the only alternative site made and delivered by Suunto. There most certainly is a bunch of websites that can do a lot in order to analyse data, prepare for races etc, but these sites are absolutely not made to handle the Suunto-watches but only the data provided by these watches.
All in all the main argument has not changed: SA is no substitute for the MC-website, not even for the S9, not at all for its predecessors
Does someone, with an Ambit3 and a foot or power pod, know or tested in Ambit3 watches what does the “Power POD Compatibility” option do? I found this option in the service menu and since I own a “Run” version that can be paired only as foot pods, I find quite strange having this option.
Unfortunately Suunto App doesn’t sync with Movescount.
ATM you can log in Sport Tracker website to export gpx if you need it.
If you search the old posts you can find the instructions to configure and use SA and MC app on the phone, so you can sync first with MC than with SA in order to have data in both systems
@ColdBeer I think the rationale for this behavior is simple: power save mode is really a do not disturb mode on steroids and disables everything extraneous. It includes regular DND stuff and then some. Notifications imply buzzing and perhaps different BLE polling intervals, which means power. Regular screen backlight – again, power. Sounds is speaker, which is power yet again.
That being said, it would be nice if we indeed had a fine grained controls where one can go from totally silent to buzzing to buzzing and sound for sound/haptic feedback and various degrees of screen backlight including total off, aka theater mode.
Perhaps, a future improvement?
@Elaine Just to help you on the currect status of this.
Manual laps are visible in iOS version of SA.
Interval laps are not.
Both are visible in Strava…
On android not manual nor interval laps are visible from SA or Strava. Only MC. (One of the main barriers for adoption of SA IMO).
Manual laps will be visible in Strava soonish as @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos has said. Not sure about interval laps in Strava.
Also unsure of an ETA for both on SA.
Hi @vmhfin and welcome to forum. Actually, SA doesn’t have this feature, and is some of the most requested one.
Please vote and Suunto will read it!!!
(Not exactly plan schedule, but…)
Try search, you will find tons of references to the one you are asking for
Hi @Julio-Chamizo we have a section for external tools. There is a section for sync tools, usually SyncMyTracks for Android and RunGap for iOS
Please vote in the first post from @Brad_Olwin in here:
Also moved another posts you made into this topic, and will move the posts here to the topic as well.
Sure, the discussion is old, but please don’t open new topics for already existing ones. Sadly it won’t come sooner when we make several posts here…
@Petter_Ekvall said in Use, create and search for hashtag's in app:
Yes I’m nagging about it, but I really want hashtag’s in the app
@marianciu IMHO,I think the first one means that, your heart rate registered by your watch will be recorded in the smartphone and now, it will be uploaded to the database as well.
Skit know for the second doubt. Sorry.
@Paridave said in Removing activities:
How do I go about removing activities from my Spartan Sport I don’t use, keeping only those I use regularly?
Do you mean removing “sport modes” from the watch using SA ?
You just need to go into the watch menu (icon top right) and click “customize s m”
In the “software world” this is called bug.
Anyway, the forum purpose is basically to discuss about Suunto App (not Movescount) test it, identify issues in order to solve it.
It is not the place for legal action. Imho
