My vote is yes. Web platform like MC is essential for a proper analysis or complex route planning. I use Strava most of the time for a quick overview and social interaction but it irritates me that it modifies the data.
Occasionally I need to do a proper analysis of past races, and I always use MC for that. With its ability to overlay multiple metrics on a graph, switch graph to time scale, and use the zoom tool, nothing comes close. For example it allows to see all stops clearly, and come up with a better strategy when running the same race course again.

A lot was said about route planning and using other services for that and importing GPX files into SA, but that doesn’t have the same functionality as MC route planner. I can’t see other user’s routes in one place. I can’t add waypoints to routes - that has been so useful on many occasions in the past, although Suunto has already crippled waypoints in Spartan and S9. The same applies to POIs.

I have started swimming weeks ago and thanks to you guys I have discovered drills. Would be a good addition as my Trainer counted 2 laps instead of 1, three times while I was doing drills. So 60 meters over the true distance.
Hope this will come in a next watch/app update.
To finish on a positive note I am very happy with my Trainer as the owhr works surprisingly well while swimming and when swimming laps, no drills, it counts well the laps.

@mdzott That would be a very reasonable solution; I may be an outlier but I would not mind activating something in the Suunto app before my workout. Hopefully it is something that can be implemented relatively easily and someone at Suunto will heed this request/suggestion. I would really like to see this feature appear in the app shortly.

In OpenstreetMap you can also load your track (GPX) and use it as a reference on map.
So you can set POIs as a reminder/note for editing

@g287-sf - Lifesum can do a lot of this and does have a wear os component to it (I probably need to take another look at it again). Last year when I was assessing it, I however ended up going with MyFitnessPal as I prefer the integration in terms of getting food recorded, loading recipies and quickly assigning food, and its reporting style was a lot easier to compare it to target goals, especially as my focus is more on my carb intake and balancing that againt protein and fat.
