@overgrowntrail said in Ambit - importing POI’s from watch to Suunto App: @André-Faria Exactly. Very disappointing to see Suunto as an use-and-throw-away orientated manufacturer. Especially as a manufacturer of devices that are used in nature. @overgrowntrail let’s believe that they do their best with what they have. One “solution” may be having with you a device with windows 10/11 to install suunto link. There are some tablets with it. @isazi although I understand your point, I think the fact that some ambit 3 users still speaking out may mean something…either that the watch still pleases them, has features that please them, and that may be also an oportunity for suunto to listen to it. Also just because Suunto doesn’t have the resources doesn’t mean something can’t be done. Maybe opening the protocol of communication so someone could do something about it, or other types of solution. On my side I have zero interest in complaining. PS: once upon at time I even proposed to open a bounty (inspiration here ) to collect money in order to pay to have these features (of corse to be develloped inside suunto), this way they could also understand how much people value this. On my side I would be ready to fork 100eur for having full support on suunto app for the A3P(and I already bought a s9b at similar price).

@thodoris-tsopanelis Windows 7 is not supported anymore by Suunto, so I do not think you will be able to use SuuntoLink with it.

@mvpereira I used a Polar OH1+ (which is fundamentally the same as the Verity) by wearing it on the same wrist as the Ambit3 and found that the signal travelled 2-3cm under water and thus the connection remained if I wore them close enough together. I’m now using a Fenix 3 on which Garmin have disabled recording of HR when swimming and I use the OH1 in recording mode, export the file from Polar Flow after the swim and then add it to my swim workout in TrainingPeaks - TrainingPeaks then combines the HR and the swim details from the Fenix 3. Either option should work for the Ambit3.

I’m locking this one to avoid duplicates, since this topic has been already discussed.

@JackB after syncing to MC will be closed down, you will be able to use Suuntolink or the app to send your activities to the Suunto cloud. From the app you can setup connections to third party services.

Try adding an altitude to the POI on Movescount web page.

I do not, everything works as it is supposed to. I would recommend a soft reset as described in the manual in “Service Menu” (link to the Suunto website)

@mannett for 100% this feature need to have HRV for calc. You need to use hr strap like polar H7,H10 or Suunto smart sensor. I have both H7 and Oh1. It works only when I wear h7

@neptunejason I had a similar Problem. Here is my solution: https://forum.suunto.com/topic/4533/movescount-app-crashes-after-move-sync The lesson I learned is, that for big moves (>5h) I use the cable to sync the moves.

@ianholmes9000 , using Suunto App with Ambit3 makes sense only if you don’t want to change settings and reconfigure workouts too often - it syncs nicely in the background, something that was quite rare for me with Movescount, and syncs to Strava with same ascent values you see on a watch, something that was broken in Movescount for a long time, probably still is. But for routes and settings and workout builder you still need Movescount app. Both apps can be used on the same phone, but it takes a bit of care. I’m using Ambit3 and Suunto App runs in the background, hardly ever use it for something else but syncing. And I sync to Movescount maybe once a week. Or when I need to change workouts.
