I have an Ambit 3 Peak, and I see Movescount is going the way of the dodo soon. So I have been looking for the replacement, but everything takes me to a phone app.

I’m not keen on using a phone due to the screen size and eye problems, and I’m not that keen on spending a lot of money on a big enough tablet either. Has anyone found a way to continue using a PC, either as a application or a web portal? Or even an emulator?

Also, as a secondary question, it looks like I will keep using Movescount to configure the watch, and the new thing to see my moves. Have Suunto committed to keeping the former up for any specific length of time? Or should I be viewing the Ambit 3 Peak as obsolescent now?

I see activities online on different third party, web based, services. The two free ones I would suggest you to check are Runalyze and Quantified Self.

movescount will be around in 2021 so you still can use it.

@isazi Thanks for that, I’ll have a look at those. Maybe I’m being dense, but how do I get my recorded track etc. from the watch into a third party service once movescount goes?

@JackB after syncing to MC will be closed down, you will be able to use Suuntolink or the app to send your activities to the Suunto cloud. From the app you can setup connections to third party services.
