This is almost unreadable for me, tiny fonts (I see a pattern here) - I hope Suunto create a dedicated app or even a web app with dark mode.

Hello everyone, my name is Prapasorn. I live in Thailand. I mostly run alone. I enjoy both trail and road running. I’ve been running consistently for about 15 years. My first Suunto watch was the Ambit 3, followed by the Spartan Copper, S9B, and now the Vertical Ti Solar. I enjoy getting useful information from the discussions and experiences shared by members of this community. Prapasorn Sweety

@kemetter said in Suunto Routeplanner: This should match Suunto app quite well, but some GPX files have quite odd content. I would need the original GPX file in question to be able to resolve this. Waypoints should load if GPX is exported from Suunto app, but from other sites it’s not a standard how they mark user named waypoints. Here is one example, which I think I created this in Strava: Issy Alps 50k.gpx When I load this in Suunto App it shows all waypoints and the distance is 50 km: [image: 1769826713292-screenshot-2026-01-30-at-6.31.23-pm.png] When I load the same GPX file in the routeplanner, no waypoints are shown and the distance is 42 km: [image: 1769826789058-screenshot-2026-01-30-at-6.32.48-pm.png] It may not be obvious by looking at the screenshots but the missing parts are from the start to the first waypoint and from the last waypoint to the finish. Basically, the route now starts at the top of the first mountain and ends at the top of the last mountain. I’ve had similar issues with a few more GPX routes. Also, I should mention that on-route waypoints can also be present in routes that are saved as FIT files. Those can be generated by some route planners such as PlotARoute and are natively supported by Garmin. It would be great if the route planner could load routes in the FIT format too. Also, routes in FIT format can embed turn directions, and some route editors (e.g. PlotARoute) can create those too. It would be awesome is Suunto followed the same standard.

It worked, but I had to delete the app on three devices (including my iPad). The workouts I was looking for weren’t displayed correctly on any of them, which I hadn’t expected. Thanks a lot @2b2bff for the help , things always go really well here in the forum. Thanks @pavel.samokha and sorry for the panic

Hi everyone, I have a question regarding the Suunto Coach and the beta version of the app. I configure a training plan and set my rest days as Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, which are the days I go to the gym. That means the days I want the app to distribute my training sessions are Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. I also select running as the only sport. The issue is that Sunday is always set as a rest day, and the other three training days are filled with a mix of running and other sports (for example cycling or swimming), even though I only selected running. I’ve tried setting it up several times and in different ways, but I never manage to get the plan I want. Is there something I’m doing wrong, or is this a limitation/behavior of the Coach? Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi. It happens with the Ocean: only recognizes the freestyle strokes, which is a pitty and ruins the training session.

@sky-runner Max HR is irrelevant, lactate threshold is. And as Max HR doesn’t change, but thresholds are, your statement is correct… https://www.suunto.com/de-de/sports/News-Articles-container-page/Figure-out-your-training-zones-and-supercharge-your-fitness/ Zone 5: Above your anaerobic threshold. Zone 5 ends at your max heart rate Zone 4: 94–99 % of your anaerobic threshold. The upper limit of zone 4 is your anaerobic threshold Zone 3: 89-93 % of your anaerobic threshold Zone 2: 83-88 % of your anaerobic threshold. The upper limit of zone 2 is your aerobic threshold Zone 1: <82 % of your anaerobic threshold. Zone 1 starts at your resting heart rate.

@Danny-poleg I got my Vertical 2 last week and has lost connection between app and watch two times already. Both times in the morning, trying to check my sleep data. The dashboard shows no connected watch in the upper left corner and no widgets in the app will start. The watch is connected to the phone (Samsung S22 ultra), i get notifications on the watch from other apps, like strava. It’s just the Suunto app that can’t seem to find the watch. Restarting the phone has solved the issue but crashing two times in four days is obviously not acceptable. Suunto please fix this!

@Francesco-Pagano The climb difficulty is rated for cycling. I think and have stated not necessarily useful for running. But they are there.
