Topic to discuss offline maps and routing in Suunto App
Android — since 6.8.8 release. Available in Beta program now.
iOS — since 3.9.0 release. Update should be rolling out now. -
When will this come to iOS ?
-
@Stoke80 with next release, soon
-
What is the offline map feature in an application used for?
-
I was able to download only one region.
There is only a limitation of number of region for offline map? -
@Wilson75 No, you should be able to download as many regions as you like
-
@pavel.samokha
e.g Tyrol I do not have the option to have it offline compared to Oberbayern.Ok found it
-
@SODIUM said in Offline Maps and Routing in Suunto App:

I was wondering the same but I guess we have now an offline map of our location and the surrounding area. If that’s true, I can finally bury my app
-
@Wilson75 so everything okay? I has already started what the heck with Tyrol
-
@SODIUM you can download any map also to your Suunto App and use it for navigation while offline. I maybe update the post later
-
@snow This update is truly great for me. Almost everywhere I exercise has little to no cellular service. Now I can draw a route completely offline, send it to the watch and follow the route. I have tested on iOS and it works well.
-
@Brad_Olwin awesome!
-
@pavel.samokha
If you select the region directly from the library I do not have the option to download.
When I do icone “+” and go to map menu I have the option to download offline.
I hope that’s help

@Wilson75
For me, maps can only be downloaded on the Suunto watch… there’s only the “Download map for watch” option. Are we talking about the same issue? -
@safari I suppose you need the new app as well
-
@safari no. I did all via Suunto App.
-
@snow
I still have version 3.8.1. Also, Suunto has been removed from TestFlight? -
@safari same here I’m still on 6.7.12 (android) and can’t dl offline maps on app.
-
@snow I think we need to wait for the next update for offline maps and navigation on the phone.
-
@Wilson75 thanks for report
