@pavel-samokha I’ve noticed the same issue with older activities not displaying animations properly. It seems like only workouts synced directly from the watch to SA are working. Would be great if there was a way to support imported or older activities as well! Regarding the speed discrepancy, that’s an interesting find. The difference between the max speed shown in SA and the white flag animation does make it seem like a conversion issue. If it’s pulling from different data points (peak vs. recorded max), maybe there’s a way to standardize how it’s displayed? Also, I’d really appreciate having an option to manually switch between metric and imperial. Since it’s based on locale right now, it can be a bit inconvenient for those of us using different systems across devices. Hopefully, this is something that can be addressed in a future update!

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos Thanks a lot for the support. I don’t want to go to previous GPS firmware as I will lose the VO2Max, Sleep quality assessment, Stress level and body resources graph. I rather wait till the next firmware update. I saw on the forum that other customers are unhappy with the GPS coordinates frequency update rate. I hope Suunto will solve it soon. Thanks.

@margusl Very interesting post. I like your summary of the … flexible … approach to customer interaction. Another wrinkle is that Suunto must have lots of usage data on MC, possibly giving them an idea of the worst-case returns scenario from discontinuing MC-as-is. Out of total MC-related product sales, how many actual MC-users are there? 80%? 50%? How regularly are activities sync’d and viewed? Sports mode settings changed? Routes planned and transferred? In some business school or other, somebody’s probably done a study on what proportion of people, when totally pissed off, will actually bother to demand a refund. And how many would seize on the opportunity regardless of alienation. And what part price plays in that, etc., etc.

@nigel-taylor-0 the data are pushed from the server and calculated by the app. The TSS would need to be calculated (the summary values) from the watch. Or sent to the watch via the app. And atm this is not supported.

@Tobias-F said in Web interface: @Jouko-from-Suunto said in Web interface: connection from Movescount to Suunto app will be implemented and there will be a point where all the data that is stored in Movescount (including for example swimming strokes) can be seen in Suunto app did that means tags and comments of individual moves will be transferred as well to the Suunto App or left out as current? good question I have asked to @Jouko-from-Suunto one day about photos joined in MCweb for each moves. I can’t find the answer link, but answer was “yes, it will be transfered to SA”. So maybe one point to have also tags and comments.

@bradylee610 Believe me, is not the most smarter choice… My previous Ambit 3 Peak was the best watch that I had, I even like it better than my current Suunto 9 Baro, I don´t know if is because I used this more time… I used these, and also Garmin Fenix, Samsung Frontier and a friend lent me a Nixon Mission, between all, I prefer Suunto for trainer, outdoor activities and as adventure watch. With Suunto now maybe is a bit confuse for some users what app to use, really, sometimes also I be a bit angry because I can´t use only the SA to do all things, but I fight with apps, NOT WITH THE WATCH. My experience with Fenix is REALLY BAD, the worst. Random freeze of the watch, not the app, the Garmin app was beautiful, but the watch it froze several times in the middle of an activity at midair (flying). There no option to check at forums, reinstall, reset or anything at this moment. Later was fixed with a fw update but also later other users reports similar behaviors after this. This NEVER happened me with a Suunto watch. And maybe this created my confidence with the brand and watches. Apps, web and desktop software is the second step for me, I really like have confidence on my watch when I do an activity, with the confidence that the watch not suddenly will not turn off… Now I use the MC Web + MC app + SA, more than anything because I like some manual settings for the sport modes, edit my POIs, etc and I hope that very soon SA can do it everything into one unique app that sounds as the more logic.

This well known 7 sec delay in getting power read from Stryd (wind version) at the start of the run in still present with S9PP. Interesting enough, while I was waiting for my S9PP to arrive, used A3P paired with Stryd and surprised to discover this delay is not present with A3P Look at the screenshots from the info in the Fit file from Intervals ICU for runs with S9PP and A3P. It’ll be interesting to see if S9PP own wrist power also has this delay? I bet it doesn’t but I haven’t tested yet. Also, wondering if the either the new Stryd Pod coming out mid November helps in this 7 secs power read delay and/or the new Stryd S+ app On side notes from the fit file , HR read from Suunto chest strap starts in 1 sec with A3P and 2 secs with S9PP, and cadence coming from Stryd on S9PP also sees same delay as power. S9PP [image: 1667668389140-screen-shot-2022-11-05-at-12.02.33.png] A3P [image: 1667668396453-screen-shot-2022-11-05-at-12.01.58.png]

Strava is absolutely uninteresting because they don’t have as many sports modes as Suunto. It’s developed for runners and race cycling. Bad business for this like med which have ski as the main activity

@wmichi Yup, I got the same impression. If it’s using machine learning or any type of self-improving algorithm, it should definitely got better learning dataset. I can imagine it’s difficult to distinguish between easy run with some hills which appear like “intervals” but typical interval training is pretty easy to define - speed, HR, time, everything there follows particular trends. It might be interesting to check, whether manual laps help - whether it takes into consideration when you “lap” your warm-up and cool-down and gives it lower weight in the overall classification. Today was the victorious day! I’ve managed to get “VO2max” tag with the last possible workout structure I haven’t tried before - go almost full out without any intervals, etc. Just run long and hard. So it seems this is the main component. I’ll try shorter distances in the future, but half-marathon in hills did the job. I have checked all my previous workouts since 2020 (2019?) - don’t know when the tags started but it’s my first VO2max workout including all races, etc. [image: 1710004988589-screenshot_20240309-143332.png] [image: 1710004988612-screenshot_20240309-143835.png] [image: 1710004988631-screenshot_20240309-181828.png]

@ColdBeer its hard to not automate this time the automatic sync. That is technically due to OAuth. OAuth signs you in to another service, then you come back to the app with a secret token (that needs now and then refresh), the server saves it and with that token it uploads for you. You have given specific permissions to that token, eg to upload, read etc. You might have seen that. When you want todo it manually you would have to store that token somewhere at your device or go over the authentication flow again. That said, lets come back to this in a few time as I am also a person that would like to have that In regards to the above, and not trying to blame syncmytracks that app does what in development we don’t do, store your password or ask it every time. That means that the app it self at some point does know the password. Depending on the protocol/method it uses, that password, in a way , can be exposed. Even in system logs as its STORED PLAINTEXT in order to be used to log you in. I bet you know the risks of that and how bad , or childish this method is. my 50c why this app/way does not look ok imo .

@sartoric yes the ones that dont sync dont have any additional info, just a summary. The watch had been updated during the week, seems odd to me that that sync process does not appear to preserve activities in the “firmware” scenario. Thanks for the info!
