@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos said in Nov transition update: @André-Faria iOS paring and sync issues, some notifications on android and of course power. That is what I personally know. There should be another update in 2021 Great, thanks for your input. Saw today a survey in movescount about our usages . Nice

I guess with arrival of PXDZ.201119.005.A1 this one should be closed, it’s fixed P.S. And thanks for all who contributed to the subject, I believe it helped solving the issue and workaround was really helpful in the meantime

As a tech-Guy a bit, that loves new technology etc. Own my Vertical 2 years. I had one day Race S, and had tested 5 days in home Race (titanium normal one, not ,S") 1 month ago . I cant get used to have amoled on hand. While training AMOLED wins easily. You running or something, screen goes bright and You can see all the things, distance, time etc. in just one sec its great! In Vertical its a bit darker sometimes when You moving, i needed to stop and check or just take watch close to my eyes. In every-day use when You want to check watchface, MIP wins, You see all the info. In AMOLED You see only time OR You unlock watch and see watchface but its so bright. Sometimes You just move hand up/down and screen becomes flashlight. Damn… for me perfect combination would be MIP screen that turn into AMOLED when browsing menu/training etc. I think I’ll keep Vertical until Vertical v2 or Race v2. I also love Vertical design more than elegant Race/Race S (Ocean seems great too!!!). There are some improvements over Vertical. Battery is insane in Vertical, same as how durable is. 0 scratches on Sapphire screen, and just some few scratches on titanium seen in good angle with light. Iam so happy how strong this watch is compared to how many times i hit it in metal parts, door frame, etc. I really hit this watch so many times.

@olymay said in is a system update coming ?: Now the weather is closing in (here in the UK) I will soon be running more with long sleeves and jackets. I’d completely forgotten about this problem . I’ll probably be using my SSU for skiing.

@Kai-Liu comment was about audit. And an independent audit clarifies it, not what media has to say or not. But so much for independence in C. One can’t even say Winnie the Pooh there 🧸

@brave_dave I’ve found TSSr to work quite well for my trail runs, I think because Suunto uses NGP rather than average pace. I don’t do anything crazy long, though. My weekly long run is 10-15 miles. As an example, I had an 8 mile, 1:20’ run with 1,000 feet ascent and descent yesterday. My average HR was right at my Z2/Z3 threshold, with ascents jumping into Z4. Here are the TSS scores for that activity: TSSr = 89 TSShr = 83 TSSzs = 82 TSSp = 77 TSSmet = 75 So TSSr gave the highest score, and, judging from my RPE, the most accurate. I would have scored it right around 90. If I use the Uphill Athlete method (MET + ascent/descent), I get 95, so also a reasonable score. Maybe TSSr is less reliable on longer efforts, or maybe my zones are just dialed in for trail running, but I’m usually pretty pleased with the calculations.

@RightNow Yes sure everyone one is entitled to expressing their concerns. I have only positive feedback for them since I too have contacted them couple of times and they were always helpful. I do not know though how can ‘distance calibration’ be affected by the shoes. The calibration is applied to it via the GPS (when using Stryd with Garmin or Apple at least). The shoes affect all other metrics but dont think that 1km is different if you run it with one or other pair. It will always be 1 km.
