Hi to all. I have 9 Baro but i cannot make live tracking work. If anyone could help i would appreciate it. When i open Live T i get a watch connection because i see Mac Address. But when i start an exercise (mostly trail running) i select sport App then Live Tracking and nothing happens. It is very important for me because i run on mountains alone and till now i use google maps to send my position for safety. I will appreciate any help to make work. Thanks in Advance.

@tailwind_mrs seems suunto run is not a good choice for swimmer, hope it could do the same job as other series throughout software update in further perhaps (finger-cross), or, go back to Garmin? or race/vertical series… And by pressing the bottom button after each interval WON’T STOP the interval time, but SPLIT the interval distance & time, no CURRENT REST TIME in anywhere. However, press the top button will see CURRENT REST TIME, but cant split the interval. The “auto stop” seems can’t be deactivated, which is only option for me to track interval data.

@porter297 in another thread someone recently recommended to (ab)use structured workouts for this.

@Brad_Olwin It has a MEAN absolute difference (median error of means) of ±10 BPMs and a 95% confidence interval of around 4 BPMs. Meaning that for most of the 58 tested subjects the estimated value deviates by 10 BPMs and 95% of all tested subjects are in the range of 6-14 BPMs deviation. The data points also seem to be gaussian distributed. So for only less then 5% it has a lower deviation of around 6 BPMs and for some of these 5% it has even a deviation of more then 14 BPMs. Of course, accuracy is highly subjective…but statistically seen, from the available data that I have, I do not use ZS at all. For me personally, when I know that on average, even under perfect conditions, the ZS estimated threshold is off by 8-10 BPMs in either direction, it is not usable for me. Even the authors discuss that there set-up is highly artificial and it needs to be seen if it even works under normal run conditions and without exercise until exhaustion…also 10 BPMs above my threshold is for me all-out running for 1km while 10 BPM below, is the HR that I have on the first kilometers of a Marathon. For me that is just way too much deviation to rely on it for proper training control and also dangerous for people that believe they can trust the value and base their training on. That I am not the only one this applies to, is already reflected by the statistics and the numerous posts from people in this forum that struggle with the value that ZS gives them and are looking for help to understand and interpret it. Communicating the average accuracy under perfect conditions to the average non-expert consumer, would already help them a lot to interpret the value for themselves. For the future, I am looking forward to more data and studies and maybe an improved algorithm, as the concept is really nice! But right now, it’s not there yet, in my eyes.

@Maria-Mette-Kronhoff It is working. Install it on your watch with the Suunto App, select Padel mode and the app is there.

@mando Thanks for the link, I hadn’t actually seen that thread, but it matches with what I noticed. So it really does seem to be related to a new firmware version that enabled this, and not the Suunto App Nolio. I just hope they’ll add an option to configure it, because it’s honestly quite annoying.

@smopi Yes, I have the Suunto Vertical too. I had this problem with previous FW versions as well. But only now have I gotten around to writing this post.

@Rinbo71 I see! thanks for sharing - sounds like an issue with your chest strap, I’d say. In my case ZS doesn’t work at all with FW 2.44.

I used the Box breathing app when it came out with Yoga sport mode, now I can’t select it with Meditation sport mode (custom and default). I can’t un-select it with Yoga (it’s enabled, but it doesn’t appear in the SuuntoPlus list of Apps). This is a custom mode. Additionally, I created a workout in intervals.icu for breathwork. Workouts normally go under Suunto Guides. I can’t select any Guide with Yoga and Meditation (default and custom), but I can use it with the old sport mode Yoga/Pilates. At the moment the list of sport modes includes Yoga/Pilates, Yoga and Pilates, plus Meditation, and clearly something is not working for those that were released later. At least they don’t seem to include Guides.

@kriskus Thanks for raising this. I was barcode scanning at Parkrun today and saw many Garmin users displaying their barcodes on their watches. Suunto really needs a similar app. From what I understand, the current Suunto software doesn’t support custom rendering (bitmap/vector) or a wallet/ID framework, which makes a barcode app unfeasible right now. Could @suunto-app-faq please comment on whether this might be possible in the future?

Trying to connect with my 9pp all Bluetooth stuff turned on. iPhone 12 Pro with recent iOS. I tried to turn bt on / off on the watch, discovery mode on on the watch but no connection when turning on the s+ live app. Tried several times. No Idea what to change. Edit: turned of discovery mode on watch again and found watch not connected in the Suunto app so restarted Suunto app, synced watch again and now it connects to the app

Hey @Danny-poleg You don’t need to enter any ID to connect your watch — it connects automatically when you enable the LiveTracking SuuntoPlus app and the service toggle is on. Here’s a short video that walks you through the setup: https://plus.athletica.one/live/b/10205048-E86A-45F7-A922-01F4F4C4FFDE/Usage-instructions Each installation of the mobile app generates a unique device ID - it’s an anonymous identifier that you can share with others if you want them to follow your activity live. You can find your ID in the About section of the app or right under the Service toggle. This Id i using for follow you by your follower. via link like live.athletica.one/<YOUR_ID>
