Check out v1.6, introducing INT‑FOCUS mode — designed for consecutive intervals where you want to stay fully focused on the current effort, and only review the previous interval briefly after each lap or on demand with a tap. Let me know what you think!

@Łukasz-Szmigiel I loaded it up and was able to start an activity. However when I hit the lap button Constantin disappeared the first time I tried. On the second attempt I was able to keep it on the screen. Looks like it might be fixed.

It’s been a while since the last public release… and finally apple approved the v1.0.17 (google is still reviewing as usual) This is probably one of the biggest updates so far. So, most of you probably already tried that new features in testFlight, btw I want to highlight some of them (smth like release notes): Updated home screen The main page is now card-based, and cards can be rearranged however you like. Better UI performance overall Previously there were noticeable frame drops while moving around the map. Now it much smoother. Groups are now integrated directly into the home screen You can access group invite links right from the main page. Group members are now visible on the map in real time. Added PTT (Push-To-Talk) inside groups (Experimental feature) Basically a walkie-talkie mode between members of an active group. Added automation providers: n8n, Zapier and Make (you know, if you know) Currently available as community nodes or private integrations. They can work with checkpoints, session events, and even Suunto workouts. I’ll probably make a separate detailed post about this later. probably. Sensor Forwarding support (Experimental feature) The app can now be used not only for geo tracking, but also as a sensor forwarding bridge. You can connect sensors to your watch and forward the data through the app into platforms like Zwift or MyWhoosh or froward somewhere else, while still keeping your workout recorded in Suunto ecosystem. Cycling and running profiles are currently supported. Completely rewritten BTLE stack (the conflict with the Suunto App is still not solved because of… you know) So, next releas I probably going to finally focus on localization support as a most requested ‘feature’ in support. Also want to highlight some updates made to the web version: Support for 3D characters on the map You can now choose different character styles in your profile. Drone-like follow mode It’s mimic to drone style tracking camera, a bit… um… “cinematic” from my perspective. Your partner or followers can now see their own position relative to you directly on the map, including live distance and ruller between you. That’s probably it for now. Thanx you all for testing, feedback, and patience.

What are the main differences between this and the ‘Ghost runner’, are they essentially the same?

@Svenning 0 Thanks. In the app, I didn’t know that I had to tap on the watch icon (that normally indicates sync status) and then on the watch model to get to the store. Found and downloaded apps.

@borgelkranz said in Suunto and Concept 2 indoor rowing: @off242 what I can add: as of late, SmartRow does directly connect to EXR. What I learned in that context: there are different versions of the SmartRow pulley. The old, silver one and the new, black one. They seem to differ slightly with respect to connection. I own the silver one and EXR had to provide a bug fix for it to connect. The ability of EXR to connect to the SmartRow pulley directly is a fairly new development, and happened due to collaboration between the two companies. For those new to this, previously the only way to work was by a “broadcast” method, where the SmartRow pulley connected to the SmartRow app on one device (like an iPhone) then the SR app “broadcast” to EXR on a second device (e.g. iPad or Apple TV). You’re correct that the original silver metal pulley behaves a bit different from later black plastic pulleys. Both transmit in SmartRow’s own format as I understand with subtle differences. The “broadcast” method is either FTMS or very close to it. Some people disliked this method due to requiring two devices; additionally, the broadcast method adds a slight delay, so EXR is about a half-stroke “behind” the SR app. The new “direct connection” improves things in most regards, but has the negative consequence that sessions are no longer written to the SmartRow online logbook. EXR can write session data to the Concept2 logbook for those people, but not yet to the SR one. Additionally, SmartRow also has a “power handle” meant for air-resistance rowers like the Concept2. People who happened to get a cheaper air-resistance machine with poor metrics can get this handle to get more accurate data. However, I suspect the cost of a cheaper rower and the SmartRow handle would be close enough to the Concept2 one might just get that anyway. The SmartRow handle also works with the Concept2, and while C2 people don’t necessarily need better data (given C2 is the standard) the handle also has four buttons, each with two top/bottom selections which can be used to do things like control a music player and perhaps eventually may have game effects in EXR (like the Zwift Play buttons in the cycling world). SmartRow is working on a “handle version” for WaterRower to give those media controls over there as well, and that version of the handle has dual bluetooth support, which allows one to have that direct EXR connection as well as a second connection to SmartRow app for those who want consistent logbook records. I believe the handle versions qualify as FTMS based on SmartRow’s web site.

Hi I get e-mails for each notification (I am developer of ErgSync) but I agree that it could be better and easier, eg apps and reviews could be accessible via web browser. Keep the reviews coming and I try to take the feedback into account in development of future versions. Martin

@Rayfox remove Gym Timer, select two other SuuntoPlus apps in Track Running, reinstall Gym Timer. My guess is that this will work, as both app slots are already taken by a different app and therefore Gym Timer cannot be selected anymore…

Oh yes it could be really nice. I’m not sure it can be handled with the S+ OpenApps though ? It needs communication with the BT SMart protocol I guess. I’d really love to see this actually (switch between Erg, level, external)

Open SuuntoPlus was only released a week ago. It might be worth contacting Dexcom to ask if they have any plans to mirror their efforts with Garmin.

Great news! It would be fantastic if these apps could also be launched directly in the future (not just during training). That would open up even more possibilities. But it’s a very good start
