@Egika - have the same issue with paddleboarding, and have been advised that a fix will be coming.
I donât know about you, but I generally donât spend all my time looking at my watch, I only tend to look at it occasionally to check heart rate, pace etc, thus I donât find it a major issue to turn it on and off as it is very easy and quick to turn off the screen - pull down settings bar and press screen off.
And just as quick and easy to see tracking - just press suunto button.
Do that all the time when paddleboarding,
Considering the ambient tracking screen doesnât show much if any detail anyway, you need to wake the screen, and I suspect that whatever solution they come up will probably be manual -like maybe a long press of the suunto button to turn off screen, short to wake up (as I canât see how they will find a tilt function that paddling will not activate - maybe hold wrist flat and deadstill, or hold up to waist hight facing face) the current solution isnt that onerous.
Would be good to see a long press option on all the buttons, just like the menu/assistant button and have the ability to customise the other long presses with apps/settings.
