It would be useful to start an activity at the end of a countdown.

@Brad_Olwin thanks this is helpful. its a bit hard to find some of the more elevation oriented information on a variety of devices online…not very many of the user guides or forums or reviews really address it specifically enough, though this one is probably by far the best and most thorough place!

The suunto 9 BARO as it is called now seems to be a very good sports watch but it is not perfect. I recently spoke to the guy who wrote this suunto 9 Baro review and he was telling me that he loved it but he is still unconvinced with the apps. He loved the extended battery life and metrics. I am toying between buying this one of a Garmin 6X Pro. Lening more towards the suunto as I have an ambit 3 already and the 9 Baro looks like a solid watch all-round.

I agree, I’ve been fighting since I bought it with support, from 2020. I joined this forum just to see if I’m the only one and if there is a solution. I have the 9 baro, I use it on a dinghy sail boat, they are always at unsuitable heights or -25m or +30. I’m thinking of selling it.

That is the best product but you cant buy those anymore.

I have noticed this error so far.

@cosmecosta yeah the software is up to date. Last time it was checked was 5 days ago when doing the factory reset on the phone with them

For what it’s worth, I was able to extract the POIs using an app dump as explained here :

Make sure Suunto app has storage permission. Go to settings and tap many times the version number. Logging will start. Go to home , pull to refresh the feed Wait a bit Go again to settings tap many times the version it will stop logging On your Android internal storage there will be a folder called stt.

Then we can use R (or another SQLite client) to connect to the produced database in android > data > com.stt.android.suunto > files > stt-dump > amer_app.db and use the pois table.

@egika It doesn’t have power in running… you can call it triathlon power but it doesn’t support power like running power… so I don’t think is a power triathlon.
