Suunto 9 Baro crashes into firmware update mode
-
During training, it stopped on its own. I tried to restart the training several times, but the watch couldn’t find GPS for a long time (20-25 minutes), the screen went blank, and the training was interrupted (it returned to the main screen of the watch). Then the watch caught GPS and the training started normally. I ran 5 km and stopped the workout as usual. It synced with my phone. Then the watch automatically switched to firmware update mode (down arrow with 4 dots). I connected the watch to my computer and launched SuuntoLink. The app told me that I needed to reset the device, I confirmed the reset, and after a while, the watch reset and asked for settings (as after purchase). I made some settings (dial, heart rate zones). Then I connected the watch to the mobile app, and synchronization began (routes, interval training, etc.). I left the watch and after a while saw that it was back in “firmware update mode.” When I connected to SuuntoLink, a message appeared again saying that I needed to reset the device, but now no matter what firmware I tried, the process ended in failure and the watch did not exit “firmware update mode.”
Is there anything that can be done about this? -
@Dr1mo seems like a hardware failure

@Dr1mo Does it make sense to write to support? Are they repairing these models now? The warranty has already expired…

@Dr1mo you can always try and see what they say
