Track looks quite OK

Suunto 9 should have great open water track. However that depends on the way you swim. The watch needs to come out of water so freestyle is the recommended style. Breaststroke will keep the watch in the water for long. as a quick test , switch to navigation screen when swiming and check if the arrow that shows your location and track work while swiming. The more you keep it underwater the longer it will take to get a fix the next time you take it out

The altitude will automatically calibrate when starting an exercise. I never manually adjust my altitude. When traveling to and from work my altitude changes and sometimes it is not correct. This is typically due to changes in air pressure and will correct next time FusedAlti is activated. To activate FusedAlti manually, simply go to shortcuts from the altitude screen and select auto adjust altitude. Leave the watch outside and stationary until adjustment is complete, I usually take it off of my wrist. Hope this helps. PS. I summited a 4334m peak on Monday and have not adjusted my altitude in a long time. My watch read 4344m at the summit. I can live with that!

@omunoz Had a big and nasty rain with some serious winds and temperatures drop the other week, and the storm alert did go off. But I concur: it takes more than just rain for the alert to appear. Still pretty cool… Some weather shouting from somebody other than Weather Channel.

Mine will frequently have a different altitude for home prior to and following an activity. This is almost always due to pressure changes and will correct with the next activity. I suggest you do an altitude calibration on the watch, this can be done from the Nav menu. I do not think that this is necessarily a bug. Unless after reading your post, is this during an activity?

Probably yes. It’s a known common localisation issue.

I’m one of the lucky ones, fairly consistent readings throughout the life of the watch. Consistently about 3-5 beats higher than a chest strap but in that range enough that I can count on that and make adjustments if needed.

I know, I know (in fact you should recognize my profile page pic ) Several years ago, no watches, no barometer no anything, I was caught in a light snow storm around Rosetta refuge (dolomites) but honestly I don’t think that having baro data available, I would have been able to avoid it. Of course I agree it’s useful for long activities (many days) as a forecast. Maybe ,I’m not sure, when we’ll be able to add graph to custom sport modes we could add alt/baro graph to it

@sartoric Wrist flexing and OHR generally don’t go well together. Though last week I had 8 minutes of perfect heart rate while doing kettlebells only to discover to my horror turned astonishment I forgot to pair my strap heart rate sensor (it was a brand new S9 and I wasn’t yet used to the new special external sensor icon).
