I got same problem, but with power/cadence from Favero assioma pro rs-2. It happened after stop. Activity was recorded fine with Wahoo (Ant+). I’ll be very upset if V2 was my primary device for bike rides… Just sent logs @pavel.samokha [image: 1783719875491-1000093690.png]

Hey, I just wanted to see if anyone has any experiences similar to mine. When I forget to charge my Suunto race and there is nothing left in the battery it takes about 5 - 7 days before it does anything. I will leave it on charge for 3 days and nothing. Strangely after around 5 days it wakes up with the charge icon. This has happened a few times now, the 1st time I actually sent it back to Suunto after a week and embarrassingly it charged straight away. Sadly it is now approaching a week and its still not waking up and I’m just getting bit bored with it now. I have 3 chargers and it’s not them, I have cleaned the sensors, I have forced reset to try and get it to wake up ( 12 - 30 seconds top right button ) and nothing. Many thanks in advance.

I am also happy with my 9PP, but charging it every two days begins to annoy me. So looking for two options, send it so Service for a battery replacement, or buy a newer model… Anyone knows how long Service times are nowadays?

hello @braisfb , same with V1. Very frustrating for me, the 2 times it happened, both during a race. There is a thread to cover theses crashes : https://forum.suunto.com/topic/15153/crash-reports-collection-q1-2026?_=1783714628703

@laurent.claustre well yes, updated the app yesterday and immediately synced a route i had in library - which i know was not working previously. Now, i didn’t hike it to confirm, but preview (from navigation) shows it is fine now, as opposed to how it was before. I encourage you to update the app and try.

I know that HR measurement at the wrist can be difficult and it is better to use a chest strap. However, even for normal walking (not even Nordic walking) I get horribly wrong measurements, e.g. yesterday the watch showed a maximum of 139 bpm in the afternoon, but an 24h-ECG (which should be 100% accurate) shows a maximum of 106 bpm in the morning (it is hard to search for the same time span). Anyhow, the difference is not acceptable! Yes the watch has correct settings (left arm) and is correctly attached to the wrist. What can I do? I need to track my pulse.

Good day, I have a Suunto Spartan Ultra and have had it for 8 years. From my last Samsung UI update my watch has not synced my daily steps with the Suunto app. I have tried the following but not success: Restart phone and watch. Reinstall Suunto App Force stop Suunto App Unpair watch from phones Bluetooth and reconnect. Gave all items on Suunto App permission. Made sure Suunto APP and phone is not on energy saving mode. If anyone has a solution please assist. Kind regards

Hello everyone, I’m hoping someone can help me. I own a Suunto Ambit Peak and my account dates back to the Movescount era. For years everything worked fine with SuuntoLink, but now I’m being forced to change my password before I can log in. The problem is that I cannot even start the password reset process. When I click “Reset password”, I immediately get the following error message: “An error occurred while resetting your password. Please try again later.” No reset email is ever sent. Here is what I’ve already tried: Safari and Google Chrome Private browsing mode Different computers Waiting several days before trying again The result is always exactly the same. Because of this, I cannot log into SuuntoLink and I cannot synchronize GPX routes to my Ambit Peak. Has anyone experienced this with an old Movescount account? Is there a way to have the account repaired or to contact someone at Suunto who can actually investigate the issue? Thank you very much for any advice.

I haven’t used my D5 since January; I got it out of the cupboard today to charge it as it’s dead, but I can’t remember how to attach the charger. I’ve searched the manual but it just says ‘attach’, it doesn’t explain how. There’s a red thing on the end of the cable which I seem to recall ‘snaps’ onto the watch, but right now it’s not snapping onto anything - it doesn’t stick to the back of the watch like I seem to remember. Have I got this totally wrong? Please can someone explain in simple terms how to attach the charger?! Thanks

Don’t know if this is expected behavior or a “bug”, but in indoor swimming, I have to set again the pool length after each reboot of the watch. This does not happen with other sport mode setting (like selected suunto-plus, brightness settings ecc). It would be nice if also the pool length setting is remembered. I think that many swimmers (or at least me) most of the time swim in the same pool, with the same pool length

@Ecki-D. said: Suunto should build the Leica of endurance watches I really like the Leica analogy. The 9 Peak design looks and feels very purpose-built and understated, much like the cameras. And the original retail price for the 9 Peak set it apart from the competition despite its lack of certain state-of-the-art technology, much like Leica. (Okay, maybe not quite as bad as a Leica.) I was going to say that I thought the ship had sailed on Suunto producing the type of watch you described above. After all, it seems that since the new ownership, there has been a significant push to introduce more and more features. Some of these are playing catch-up to the competition, and others are things that users have been asking for. And, at this point, it feels like Suunto watches are becoming more complicated to use. Certainly not as bad as Garmin, but they are on the path towards “feature overload” that simply didn’t exist in the 9 series days. But, then I remembered the impending release of the Core 2. So it appears that Suunto is developing two distinct watch branches: the do-it-all, not-quite-a-smartwatch, adventure watches (Vertical and Race); and the bare-bones, hardcore, basics watch (Core). Maybe there’s hope that a new branch will emerge that bridges the gap between these two? A watch that does a little more than the Core, but not quite everything that the Vertical does? And if it looks anything like the 9 Peak, I’d imagine it’d be pretty close to the “Leica of endurance watches ”.

This will disable and reenable Bluetooth in the watch and forces it to reconnect with sensors. I do it with Inpeak wattmeter. Wow, thanks @jan-krejčí, will try it next time, though heads up on this Suunto-related people, should be addressed for sure.

@tobstar since last firmware, you now have the option to disable activity notifications, look for this in the options menu before starting the activity, as they cannot be modified after activity has started.

@Highlands said in Suunto Vertical 1 – A Few Questions About the Future + Questions About the Vertical 2 and a Comparison with the Coros Nomad / the New Vertix 2026: @dreamer_ I hope they put a sapphire crystal on R2S. About this, I think my wife’s 46mm Run could fit a 1.4 inches screen. Perhaps they could fit that screen aize in the Race 2 S playing with the bezels and making you think the watch is not that “S” but something comparable to a Fenix 8 47mm . That simple change would make a lot of noise for marketing in my opinion and very likely much better sales (just for that)

@Brad_Olwin Really? Very interesting as XC Skiing is my other Usecase for the Vertical. Sun and Snow together are so bright that the MIP really shines. Also the Solar power collection is welcome. For running I really like the Race S as it is much lighter and the OHR works perfectly since the last update. Waiting for an Ocean 2 Titanium in the Race 2 case. If the new display is that much better it would serve all my demands. But as long as RaceS (discounted), Vertical Titanium (used) and Mares Divecomp together cost less than the Ocean I will stick with this trio

@isazi Hi, I want to add my point of view. I have Suunto Race and I was testing the connection today, since a big race is coming. Until now, I was not using the HR sensor for races, but now I was curious. My HR strap is unfortunately not waterproof enough to wear during the swim. Therefore, I tested, if I can connect it after the swimming part. Once I ended the swim in Triathlon sport mode, I turned on the HR strap. The watch beeped and the strap seemed connected. But, when watching the HR, once I removed it from the wrist, HR vanished. This means, even if the sensor is apparently connected, it still shows the HR data from the watch optical sensor. That’s what I am asking: Is it possible to somehow change the settings to show the HR from the strap rather than watch? Thanks!!

Suunto Core 2!.. For me, this is the best news from the world of watches this year! I love my Core Alpha and I’m curious to see if there will be any hardware or software improvements. Newer isn’t always better. But so far, it looks promising. Just yesterday, I changed the battery in my Core Alpha for the first time in a one year and seven months. I did it in about 30 seconds, sitting on a bench with just a coin. Water resistance is working. A great and affordable survival watch.
