@kermischocolate said in Watch Face customisation: There seems to be a bigger selection via Suunto Plus but I can’t find any link to this on the app so I suspect it’s not available for the Run S+ not supported

@GiPFELKiND it’s sampled every 10 min or so, definitely a trade-off for consumption. However, I wish there was an option to keep it on all the time

@Egika Says the person using an Avatar picture with a bike But seriously, you won’t find any running instructor talking about Cadence in the RPM sense. Even Suunto with this Run watch has implemented a metronome with a Cadence advice of: https://www.suunto.com/sports/News-Articles-container-page/run-with-the-new-suunto-run-gps-watch/ “Metronome Cadence – the number of steps you take per minute – is a great indicator of efficient running form. Use Suunto Run’s metronome to maintain your target step frequency. A cadence of around 180 steps per minute is commonly recommended.” I myself would say ‘try to keep it above 170 to minimise heavy pounding steps’.

I have already reported and noticed that i suspect that climb guidance is based on « distance from start » of the route instead of « current gps position ». My feeling is that if I start a climbing section witch start at 25km from start of the route, and if the watch has already mesures 25km few meters before the gps point where the climb was supposed to start, then the climb guidance for this climb willl start at the 25km point mesured by the watch. From my experience the further you are in the route, the most is guidance « delayed ». But I have never take time to really verify that feeling, I may be wrong (@isazi i remember you said to me that I was mistaken about the behaviour).

I was looking for another solution and noticed that my Suunto app wasn’t up to date (I had 5.2.5 instead of 5.3.5). I updated it, and just a few minutes later, notifications started coming through again! Happy

I’d rather correct the altitude manually if you know your altitude. It’s faster and more accurate when you know your reference point. Anyway, about barometer you may need to be more focused on trends more than exact value at time.

@Brad_Olwin Thanks for the suggestion. I tried settings/tones/all off. That should hopefully do the trick.

@wakarimasen Yeah it is real. I have come off being healthy for a minute though and it is interesting how terrible Garmin is at tracking health metrics. I think that they work if you are living the healthy life and stay within the lines for the most part. Plus you have the endless drumbeat of the cult telling you everything else is garbage because it doesn’t have a flashlight or music. Two problems easily solved without paying over $1000 for a watch. I am much more in tune with my body and where I am at with training with Suunto. I think you will be too. This wakarimasu.

Had the same problems, and replaced the strap by a more breathable from Suunto. Still if I forget to loosen the watch after workouts and wear it all time I get skin irritation at the sensor area. Then I switch wrists at least during sleep. I don’t think its the sensor but the charging poles maybe they contain some irritating metals and in combination with sweat and pressure it irritats the skin. I haven’t been tested positiv on metal allergies but sometimes I have problems with metal buttons on trousers, sometimes not with the same button.
