Quick update on my Ocean I left the device with the local service center, but they were unable to obtain any support from Suunto. They also mentioned ongoing issues sourcing new stock due to the poor responsiveness from Suunto, which raised further concerns. After five weeks with no progress, I retrieved the unit and decided to handle the support process myself. Surprisingly, upon collection, I attempted a hard reset by holding the top button and saw a low battery icon despite the device being completely unresponsive when initially dropped off. It appears the battery may have drained entirely and triggered a full reset. After a quick charge, the unit powered up and I was able to install the latest firmware update. Regardless, this experience has ended my confidence in both the service center and Suunto’s support structure. This will be my final Suunto product support has been bed from start to finish, and the reliability of the unit itself is now in question.

@sky-runner I agree this would be very helpful. I was looking for a way to do this with my Race 2, and ended up just setting my bottom shortcut to lock the watch. This takes care of it, but it would be nice to have that shortcut freed up for something else. Even Apple watches don’t do this, and you have to swipe down from the top and turn on water mode or something like that.

I am more than satisfied with Run’s performance, but unfortunately when it comes to sampling during sleep (and day), we are not quite there yet. I simply don’t trust it anymore (HRV…). e.g. Last night, my Holter monitor, a medical device, recorded values between 46 and 54 bpm, so I can’t explain the 67 bpm and all the other peaks. Furthermore, the minimum value recorded of 48 bpm is terribly wrong. I already reported this issue in June, but unfortunately, I never received any feedback, not even here… [image: 1762863575790-screenshot_20251111-130624.png]

@enriqueescoms The 9 Peak Pro could be an option. On the downside it has no maps compared to Race S. But if she wants Maps its a lot more expensive in the Garmin Ecosystem than Suunto

With the new firmware update (2.48.16), the “Read All” function has been added to the watch below “Discard.” Does this work for you? When I select “Read All,” the green screen with “Done” is displayed, but not the entire message. I will continue testing. EDIT: I’ve noticed that this only happens with SMS, not with WhatsApp or Signal. But I think more characters are currently being displayed.

@omurray I agree. Feeling is so subjective that is skews the Recovery Metric. If my sleep and HRV are poor but my feeling after activity thew day before was very good then it reports I am ready to train. However, that morning I feel exhausted! I will skip Feeling in future to try to force the algorithm to just use HRV, Sleep and Training Load and Fatigue

@enriqueescoms I do not know, but I guess that yes. All I’m writing here is what I can understand reading the Spanish forum. There, it has been said that a hotfix is coming with some new features and that is not Q4 update.

@Tomas5 Yes, I think so. You can see this with Coros watches. They have the option to measure every 10 (or 5 minutes with activated stress measuring) or constantly. Here the activation to constantly causes a falldown of the battery life from 40 to 37 hours in summary. Not that much but noticeable.

Have this strap since a few days now. Its great that it is much lighter, but the Race S is getting a little bit head-heavy. Its okay, but I wouldn’t use it with heavier watches. For Run and Race S Titanium its a perfect fit. I didn’t like it at the beginning as it was stiff, but wearing it made it softer. From my experience its not better for OHR per se, but I like that you can tighten easily during ther run. As I noticed cadence lock today running downhill a quick tightening of the strap resolved it in seconds. Long answer short: It helps in certain situations Edit: @Hari-Seldon: Black one is still sold out, so I got Coral. Love the colour

Charged last Thursday to 100%. Had my usual one and a half hour club training Thursday eve. (My stryd was connected, my polar chest strap refused to connect) Had a 10k trail on friday of about 1 hour (used navigation, no connected devices) Had a 30k trail on saterday of about 3 hours(also with navigating, no connected devices) Gps setting is on the highest (because of some stupid design decisions of suunto you cannot turn down gps accuracy without loosing maps). I don’t use aod. Now on sunday, 3 days after charging, battery is down to 39%. It’s okayish. My previous watch (forerunner 965) did worse. Watch before that (forerunner 935) did way better, but had a mip screen, which is better for sport, and didn’t have maps, only breadcrumb navigation.

I was looking for dive computer with recreational range (up to 60m). 40m limit of some other watches is a deal breaker, since even recreational dives can go a bit deeper and riding on lockdown limit is no fun at all. But not really wanted a dedicated one, which would just not be used 95% of a year. I also wanted Air Integration and decent battery without breaking the bank. Scuba Pro galilleo 3, mares and similar watches are just too dumb outside diving, garmin is way too expensive. Suunto gave a decent option in between. So far - a bit mixed feelings, but it growing on me. At least it’s very fast, good display and good battery and actually good for basic stuff outside diving. Somehow controls and menus were super easy to understand. Hardware looks good, I just wish suunto and partners would push a bit harder on software development - not in quantity, but quality.
