Hi, I just got my Suunto Vertical 2, and I’m very disappointed that I can’t share my heart rate with Zwift (or other apps) directly from the watch. This is a basic feature that is already offered by competitors.
I love the watch, but without HR broadcast, I’m seriously considering returning it 😞

@magicedwin I’m in the same boat. I have a chest strap but many times I just want to broadcast for ease of use for short bike rides

@Egika and it works great! Suunto Chest HR strap can only connect to 1 device at a time. Before the update I had to pick my Race 2 or my Hammerhead bike computer. Now I let the HR strap connect to my watch and broadcast HR to my Hammerhead. Problem solved.

I am really happy that this feature is available. Sometimes I just want to ride without using a chest strap.

              I have two questions:

              1. Do I need to start an activity on the watch for heart rate broadcasting to work? If yes, why?
              2. I did a bike ride today and broadcasted my heart rate to my Hammerhead Karoo 3. It worked for about 20 minutes, then the connection was lost. The heart rate was still displayed on the watch. Is there anything I can do to troubleshoot this?

              Thanks!

@domucki Without a HR strap, it doesn’t make much sense, because the accuracy of heart rate readings from OHR during cycling is very poor and pretty much useless.

@maszop I find it OK when cycling. Certainly good enough.

@domucki 1- no need to start an actitivy, but you have to be on the start screen, I’m doing dual recording with my watch and HH just because I want those Suunto badges 📛😎
