@Squirrel I can only tell what I observe. The gnss data is synced right when your watch is connected to the suunto app on the phone. At least, at some point the sync process is saying it is syncing gps data.

@ccrhenrik True, thats a negative aspect. And if Buhlmann with 40/85 is similar in stops it also should reduce bubble formation like RGBM. Good to have the choice

@mickywickyftw said: I think I’ve worked it out - it was a typo! Changing a + to à - helped a lot This is far better in descents. In a previous post, you requested the avg speed and power on a section. How? I can only get this for segments of 1/5/10 km.

@Ze-Stuart yes I have used elite HRV for some time and then stopped. Unfortunately currently that’s how my nights looks like and the watch does not recognize those as sleeps. Hence why enabling HRV during long naps could be beneficial. – ms Avg. sleep HRV 4 h 57 min 23:24 - 01:18 Nap 1 h 54 min 03:13 - 04:40 Nap 1 h 27 min 05:36 - 06:34 Nap 58 min 07:44 - 08:22 Nap 38 min

allrighty then… back in business #fingerscrossed Trying to factory-reset the watch while battery left, did not work. It always crashed and restarted before I got the chance to cycle through the menu to that option, also button-press did not work. Let it drain power. charger (USB-C) was connected to a docking-station, placed watch onto charger… charging icon appeared, followed with the bootup of the watch… did not follow it all the way through, but ‘green firmware restore’ screen were shown when battery was sufficient (3% ?)… let it lie for a bit and started with black screen… as already noted in earlier post, the watchface is non-existent, black screen… pressing the crown (middle button), my ‘Sun-up / Sun-down’ secondary screen is shown… pressing ‘back / lower button’ returns to the non-existing watchface screen… turning the crown to ControlPanel > Settings > General > Reset settings , it stated it needed 40% battery before doing so… Not sure how come, but leaving it on the charger kept the menu’s scrollable, and the watch did not crash ! Waited till 40% battery and did ‘Reset settings’ … Watch displayed that it would turn off, and crown-button press needed to be used to boot-up again… it did not… After these messages, it reboot and started restoring the firmware screen once again… uhoh… but… it was one continuous cycle where the green progressbar slowely filled and when 100% full, the watch booted and all initial questions on eg. age, length, metrics were presented… Opened Suunto App and reconnected the watch… after removing the old device on my iphone, otherwise it will not pair ! (bluetooth menu, ‘Forget this device’) So now I have a fresh device that is working as expected (for all I can discover for now)… Only nuisance… need to recreate all my custom workouts Will take it for a 'move ’ this evening and see if it holds up. Cheers @dimitrios-kanellopoulos , if anything is unclear, feel free to follow-up.

@isazi I only have a recent (as in today) reaction from Suunto stating they haven’t got a clue what causes the problem, let alone how to fix it. But please do report it, with logs, when it happens again. That would be very helpful.

@sartoric I’ve been using it for a very long time. The problem is that the application doesn’t support it. For example, it works very well on https://routeplanner.suunto.com. Clickable “plus” and “minus” icons should be added to a section of the application.

Cycling mode, multiple sensors not working, if you use Coros HR armband + Stages powermeter, then HR does not work at all.

@maszop said: The manufacturer’s warranty period is set by the manufacturer itself – Suunto usually offers 2 years, but there are other terms as well. I’m talking about Europe. I think the 2 years is because the Eropean regulations and in Spain is 3 years. I bought some months ago a Pixel 10 and the warranty is also 3 years. If for that that the warranties periods depends on the purchase country. [image: 1783601144438-c500847a-be20-4b8e-bc62-ca3905c66adc-image.jpeg] A fantastic thing that suunto has is that they honor the warranty, if you do not have a purchase receipt, using the serial number. As you can see in the picture. Probably Suunto web page is not updated…

The same thing happened to me once with the Race 2, and today my block training just stopped working—the interval watch screen went completely black, and I had to finish it manually. It’s really frustrating when this happens during scheduled workouts.

@Gunnar Tried everything in this direction. Nothing works. Funny thing is that when wrist is in water and not swimming, HR value is plausible, but when i start swimming then it goes up to over 170/180 plus. I think it’s a combination of bad sensor design and possibly software

When HR stopped to record because of the dead HR sensor battery, why NGP and a number of other metrics have also stopped?

@aiv4r Yes, NGP and a few other metrics that should not have anything to do with HR. And because of that r-TSS hasn’t been calculated correctly - I believe it depends on NGP.

Yes, Resources algorithm is complete nonsense. On my Race S, it is affected by battery charging, as if it measures battery stress. 🧐 After charging the battery in the morning, the resources would decline in red over the whole day! Now I only charge at night before sleep, so this way I only get one or two bars of red, because sleep phase seems to not be affected by this phenomena.
