@Egika Thanks for confirming. I appreciate the answer, but I don’t accept Suunto’s logic. Garmin watches reset the daily step count each day regardless of whether the watch is powered on. This failure to reset is not going to encourage me to keep the watch on at night (nor wear it). If I wanted an always-on device, I would be wearing a device around my finger. I think this warrants a feature update. But I’ll refrain from submitting it due to my lack of seniority here.

I have similar issue but looking at the graph I see sporadic drops in altitude of about 100m here and there, of course no wind no clothes or anything that might cause external reading problems. Haven’t found a way to solve it, but watch worked correctly the first 3/4 months. It’s quite a problem since it’s one of the few information that really interest me. Could it be a hardware problem?

Its not so much to snap it to track on a Satelite image that might be offset but rather for pace stats and distance

Compared to my previous watch, a forerunner 965, the vibrations on my race s are much stronger, but also make more noice. My wife notice incoming alerts more, but isn’t woken by it. On the other hand, I did miss alerts on the forerunner, specifically during activities, and I don’t miss them on my race S, so overall I think it is an improvement.

@Tomas5 @Egika thank you both for the replies. and I agree: It would be nice if suunto would be more specific “officially” on the materials used.

@Dieter please make sure you enabled the specific apps actually use the notification centre. That is the middle setting within each apps notification. Then make sure, you allowed the watch to access notifications within the BlueTooth settings on the iPhone.

@galetes are you doing it from the Suunto app (phone app)?

@elbee said in Vibration off (only) for mobile notifications: I recently switched from garmin back to suunto and in general I’m happy with it. There is 1 area that needs attention from developers and that is in configuration options. Not only for beeps and vibration, but also for alarms and specify datafields on lapscreen or mapscreen. To name a few. And why can’t I exit an buildin activity? In stead of useful firmware changes suunto added trackmode. I train on a track every week and I think it doesn’t add any value. And I never heard anybody in my athletics club complain track training is difficult due to lack of support on their watch. We need more flexibility and configurations. Agree on the need for more flexibility in settings. It would make a big difference if we could customize things like vibrations, alerts, and screen layouts separately. The current all-or-nothing approach limits how people can adapt the watch to their daily use or training style. I also found it odd that some built-in activities can’t be exited or tweaked easily. Hopefully, Suunto considers more user-configurable options in future updates.

I did a factory reset on my Race S, restarted the Suunto APP and restarted even the mobile phone, but I have the issue that the App is not remembering my Wifi and the map download cannot start. The Wifi I have connected uses 2,4 GHz, but for the watch it does not exist anymore. This is really annoying. The Software is 2.43.12. What’s wrong? [image: 1751053165840-img_7830.png]

To me this looks really really ugly. But I know some people like this information overload on a display. Anyway, kudos to Suunto for regularly introducing new watch faces lately! Just keep them coming! Sometimes people who are constantly asking for fw updates just need a fresh new look for their watch. And this is certainly easier to develop than the whole fw.

Last week I set an alarm for midnight (0:00) It never went off. Luckily I was awake at 23:50 and I usually don’t have to wake up at that time. (An other problem is lack of configuration options. My workdays are from monday to Thursday. That cannot be set on a Suunto. Also an alarm on every Saturday, to not miss parkrun, cannot be done. But that is by ‘design’ and not by buggy software)

@2b2bff That’s exactly why I find it strange. Since I did the threshold test directly from the suunto plus, I showed the watch that I could run better and so I waited for the fall of the days, that the vo2 max would change and nothing. It’s true that I started at 44.1 and now I’m gradually going up to 45.7 at the moment, but those predictions simply underestimate me

I’m also still waiting for the interval counter a countdown before and after intervals to be available natively on the Suunto app. I tried programming workouts on intervals.icu for a while, but it’s not practical to have yet another platform to use. It’s a terrible experience with my training platform, Campus Coach. I see two possible explanations: either Garmin is paying Suunto not to implement these features, or the developers simply aren’t capable of doing it. Structured workout integration has been around for about three years, which should have been more than enough time to develop these basic and highly requested features. In the meantime, I’ve gone back to using a Garmin. My Suunto is up for sale, but of course, no one wants it.

@racesuser my measurements are pretty successful too… See below 2 swims, one year apart, first with the vertical, second withy Race S. Difference is marginal… [image: 1750313161083-img_2795.jpeg] [image: 1750313161134-img_2794.jpeg]
